In ZIP code 08904, New Jersey, Oak Crest offers two program options: a 5 full-day program and a 3 full-day program. Our Munchkin Division maintains an impressive camper-to-staff ratio, typically ranging from 10 to 12 campers, supported by 3 to 4 staff members. Additionally, each activity is supervised by a specially recruited and trained Munchkin Specialist, dedicated to the unique needs of 3, 4, and 5-year-olds.
The Munchkin Program is designed with a threefold approach in mind: fostering the development of gross and fine motor skills through engaging athletic and creative activities, teaching essential swimming skills, and nurturing social development.
Munchkin Athletics
Oak Crest provides modified versions of various sports activities tailored to our youngest campers. Our offerings include mini-soccer, mini-basketball, t-ball, and gymnastics, all designed to ensure success for 3, 4, and 5-year-olds. Our athletic specialists, with specialized training for this age group, guide your child in learning the fundamental skills of these sports in an age-appropriate and engaging manner.

Furthermore, each Munchkin group contributes to the annual Showcrest, an elaborate Dance and Drama Production. This is not a modest endeavor; Showcrest, a cherished tradition occurring during the 6th week of camp, unfolds in the evening at a local venue. It features professional-grade sound and lighting, creating a truly remarkable spectacle.
Low Ropes
The Summer Camp experience at Oak Crest’s 08904, NJ location incorporates Climbing and Ropes Courses as integral components. We’ve developed a low ropes course with a dual purpose: enhancing the gross motor skills of our young campers and preparing them with essential skills for our Climbing Tower. During the Low Ropes Course activities, our young campers engage in climbing, exploring, and swinging, all while being just inches above the ground.
To ensure the utmost safety, our ropes courses undergo rigorous inspection and certification by the company responsible for their construction at the start of each season. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who guide the groups through these courses, conduct daily checks to maintain a secure environment for the campers.
Learn to Swim
