Our Munchkin Program is designed around a threefold approach. This approach focuses on enhancing gross and fine motor skills through engaging athletic and creative activities, developing swimming skills, and fostering social growth.

It features professional-grade sound and lighting, creating a truly remarkable spectacle for all to enjoy.
At Oak Crest’s Branchburg, NJ location, our Summer Camp adventure includes integral components such as Climbing and Ropes Courses. Our low ropes course serves a dual purpose: fostering the development of gross motor skills in our Munchkins and equipping them with the essential skills needed to navigate our Climbing Tower. During their time on the Low Ropes Course, our young campers engage in climbing, exploration, and swinging activities, all conducted just inches above the ground.
Safety is our top priority, with our ropes courses undergoing comprehensive inspection and certification by the company responsible for their construction at the start of each season. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who lead the groups through all ropes courses, perform daily checks to maintain a secure environment for our campers.
At our Branchburg, NJ location, we view swimming as not just a life skill but as an essential proficiency that is best acquired in our newly established, cutting-edge 12,000 square foot Aquatic Complex. Our unwavering commitment to excellence is evident in our annual training of instructors, drawing upon both American Red Cross guidelines and over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children to swim. We confidently guarantee that your child will master the art of swimming at Oak Crest.
For our beginner swimmers, our state-of-the-art Aquatic Facility features two shallow pools, ensuring that even the youngest campers can comfortably stand. This enhances their comfort level and initial progress significantly. Each morning, our campers participate in a 40-minute swim lesson led by a certified swim instructor, with the support of group counselors. In the afternoons, they return to the Aquatic Complex for 40 minutes of free swim, fostering camaraderie with fellow campers and group counselors alike.
One of the most captivating elements of the camp experience is the nurturing of children’s capacity to navigate group dynamics. This journey enables them to cultivate increased confidence and independence. As they transition between diverse activities, the group actively participates in fostering friendships, collaborative efforts, sharing, taking turns, and learning respectful interaction with both peers and staff. Our devoted staff empowers Munchkin campers to express their thoughts through verbal communication, guiding them in direct interaction. At Oak Crest, we offer a nurturing environment where children acquire crucial emotional and social skills essential for success in life.
To cater to the nutritional needs of our preschool campers, the Munchkins have a separate dining arrangement, enjoying the first lunch period of the day, distinct from the rest of the camp. The Oak Crest Staff is highly attentive to any dietary requirements your child may have, ensuring a personalized and accommodating approach to their meals.
