Our Munchkin Division boasts an exceptional camper-to-staff ratio, typically ranging from 10 to 12 campers per 3 to 4 staff members. Additionally, each activity is overseen by a dedicated Munchkin Specialist, specifically trained to cater to the unique needs of 3, 4, and 5-year-olds.
The Munchkin Program is designed with a threefold approach in mind, focusing on the development of gross and fine motor skills through engaging athletic and creative activities, the acquisition of swimming skills, and the promotion of social development.”

Creative Arts
“Located in Warren, NJ, Oak Crest’s Creative Arts Center serves as an exceptional hub for fostering artistic expression. Here, your child will have the opportunity to engage in a wide array of artistic activities within well-appointed, air-conditioned classrooms, all guided by experienced art instructors.
On a weekly basis, our campers actively participate in an array of activities that encompass Ceramics, Music, Cooking, Drama, Nature exploration, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more.
Adding to the enriching experience, each Munchkin group contributes to the annual Showcrest, a grand Dance and Drama Production. Far from a modest affair, Showcrest, a cherished tradition during the 6th week of camp, unfolds in the evening at a local venue, complete with professional-grade sound and lighting, creating a truly remarkable spectacle.”
Low Ropes
“At Oak Crest’s Warren, NJ location, our Summer Camp adventure includes essential components like Climbing and Ropes Courses. We’ve established a low ropes course with dual objectives: promoting the development of gross motor skills in our young campers and equipping them with the necessary skills for navigating our Climbing Tower. During the Low Ropes Course activities, our Munchkins engage in climbing, exploration, and swinging, all while staying just inches above the ground.
Safety is our top priority. Our ropes courses undergo rigorous inspection and certification by the construction company at the start of each season. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, responsible for guiding the groups through all ropes courses, conduct daily checks to ensure a secure environment for our campers.”
Learn to Swim
“Swimming is not just a life skill; it’s a vital proficiency, and at our Warren, NJ location, we offer the ideal environment for your child to acquire this skill in our cutting-edge 12,000 square foot Aquatic Complex. Our unwavering commitment to excellence is evident in our annual instructor training program, which combines American Red Cross guidelines with over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children to swim. We confidently guarantee that your child will become a proficient swimmer at Oak Crest.
Our state-of-the-art Aquatic Facility is designed to cater to beginners with two shallow pools, ensuring even the youngest campers can comfortably stand, enhancing their comfort and initial progress. Each morning, campers participate in a 40-minute swim lesson led by a certified swim instructor, with support from group counselors. In the afternoons, they return to the Aquatic Complex for 40 minutes of free swim, fostering camaraderie with fellow campers and group counselors alike.”
