3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)
For parents living in or near Hillsborough, Oak Crest offers two distinct programs tailored to 3 to 5-year-olds in our Munchkin Division. These programs prioritize safety and personalized attention, maintaining a low camper-to-staff ratio with 10 to 12 campers per group and 3 to 4 staff members.
One of the core focuses of our Munchkin Program is swimming. We are dedicated to helping young children build confidence and proficiency in the water. Our specially trained Munchkin Specialists lead this effort, ensuring that children have age-appropriate and enriching experiences in the pool.
But our program goes beyond just swimming. We understand the importance of developing gross and fine motor skills in young children. To achieve this, we offer a variety of athletic and creative activities carefully designed to enhance these skills. At Oak Crest, we’re committed to providing a nurturing environment where your child can not only learn to swim but also grow and develop in various ways.
Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)

Just like our Munchkins, Explorers participate in a range of athletic and creative activities, all while focusing on improving their swimming abilities and nurturing their social and emotional intelligence.
For first graders, we introduce thrilling activities like the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA, providing them with an adventurous and fun-filled experience. In second grade, campers get to enjoy CHOICE periods, where they have the opportunity to select their preferred activities on a weekly basis, ensuring a personalized and engaging camp experience.
Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)
For parents residing near Hillsborough, the Junior program at Oak Crest offers a diverse array of activities designed to keep your children engaged and active. From Archery to Mountain Biking, Lacrosse to High Ropes, BMX to Skatepark, and even Camper vs. Wild, our Junior program ensures a well-rounded and exciting camp experience.
In addition to these activities, our program includes a blend of both athletic and creative pursuits, as well as dedicated Instructional Swim sessions to enhance swimming skills. Juniors also have the opportunity to access our Climbing Tower for thrilling adventures.

That’s why Juniors get to enjoy Late Nights, where they have extended camp access, a special dinner, extra swim time, engaging games, a unique event, and a memorable twilight campfire complete with delicious S’mores. It’s all about creating lasting memories and a summer to remember.
Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)
If you’re a parent living in or around Hillsborough, the Senior campers’ experience at Oak Crest is packed with exciting opportunities. These campers have access to all camp activities, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching summer.
In addition to the core camp activities, Senior campers get to embark on multiple thrilling day trips, including visits to places like Dorney Park, adding an extra layer of adventure to their summer.
For those seeking more specialized experiences, our Senior campers can choose from a wide range of advanced Choice offerings, allowing them to tailor their camp experience to their interests and preferences.
To create unforgettable moments, Senior campers also get to enjoy Senior Late Nights, which includes extended camp time, a special dinner, extra swim time, engaging games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire complete with S’mores. Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)
For parents in the Hillsborough area, our camp offers a unique Choice program that empowers campers to choose their activities for the week. Each week, campers can pick a new activity from a constantly evolving list.
Apart from the diverse range of athletic and creative activities, Senior campers have the exciting option to participate in our annual Drama Production or be a part of our special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. It’s worth noting that the Senior campers’ involvement in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently steals the spotlight and is a highlight of the show!
Social Development
Oak Crest camp counselors play a vital role in guiding campers through a series of team-building challenges and friendly competitions. These experiences are carefully designed to instill values such as teamwork, mutual support, and effective communication among campers.

LIT Program (10th & 11th Graders)
The LIT (Leadership-in-Training) Experience is a unique opportunity for 9th, 10th, or 11th graders that goes beyond the typical camp experience. Participants in this program engage in practical leadership skill development within a dynamic setting, with a primary goal of enhancing the camp experience for younger campers.
Throughout the program, LITs focus on crucial skills such as problem-solving, effective role modeling, and teamwork. Emphasis is placed on fostering a sense of responsibility, as this program aims to prepare LITs not only for success in their future college and career endeavors but also for potential roles as outstanding camp staff members. It’s a comprehensive and hands-on approach to leadership development that equips young individuals with valuable life skills and the potential for a fulfilling future in various roles and professions.
