Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near Princeton
At Oak Crest, our Princeton, New Jersey location offers an enriching Teen Travel Program tailored for 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students. Teens engage in a variety of on-site activities while also embarking on exciting day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. In contrast, 8th and 9th graders have camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Furthermore, Teens have the option to participate in 2- or 3-day overnight trips to enhance their experience.
At our Princeton, New Jersey location, Camp Oak Crest maintains a structured group schedule for its teenage participants. Teens follow a well-organized routine, moving in groups of 10-15 campers, under the supervision of meticulously screened counselors. The daily schedule comprises two free swim sessions, exciting activities such as the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative options, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teenagers have the freedom to select their preferred activities, encouraging them to explore a wide range of options by choosing something new during each Choice period.
In Princeton, New Jersey, our Camp Oak Crest location ensures the safety of our teenage campers by strictly adhering to the Oak Crest Travel Protocols when venturing outside the camp premises. Every Teen Travel camper, along with their parents, is obligated to endorse our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. In parallel with other camp divisions, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are under the vigilant oversight of an adult Division Head. These Division Heads are entrusted with the responsibility of supervising their respective divisions within the camp and accompanying them on both day and overnight excursions. Our Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to proficiently supervise campers in public spaces and effectively manage the unique challenges encountered during early adolescence.
