Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders) Summer Camp near 07066

At Oak Crest in 07066, NJ, our junior campers embark on a dynamic journey of exploration, participating in an array of activities such as Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, Camper vs. Wild (pioneering), and more. Their daily schedule is a blend of athletic and creative pursuits, including Instructional Swim and the Climbing Tower. A distinctive offering for our junior campers is the Late Night program, providing them with the opportunity to extend their day for a special dinner, additional swim time, extra games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire with S’mores.

Junior Athletics

Our Junior program in 07066, New Jersey, offers a diverse range of athletic activities conducted on full-size fields. Our weekly schedules feature Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, and more. In addition, juniors can delve into our Skate Park and Mountain Biking Program, led by Athletic Specialists. These sessions encompass skill instruction followed by games designed to reinforce the newly acquired abilities. At the Junior level, we introduce League Play, where groups participate in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. These activities and opponents rotate weekly, delivering a dynamic and competitive experience for our young campers.

Learn to Swim

At Oak Crest, our Learn to Swim Program is a cornerstone of the Oak Crest experience. Located in the state-of-the-art aquatic facility in 07066, NJ, our facilities are unrivaled. The 3rd Grade Juniors have access to our recently constructed, exclusive 12,000-square-foot Aquatic Complex designed specifically for children aged 3-8. Meanwhile, the 4th-grade Juniors enjoy swimming in our Gigantic Pool, which boasts eight 25-meter lanes. Both facilities offer shallow water, allowing us to start all swimmers in standing depth and gradually progress them into deeper water as their skills improve.

Every morning, Juniors engage in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with group counselors providing additional support. Our swim lessons are skill-based rather than age-based, ensuring a challenging experience for swimmers of all levels. We annually train and certify our instructors, drawing not only from American Red Cross standards but also from our extensive 25+ years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoon, Juniors have the opportunity for free swim in the pools.

Learn to Ride a Bicycle

Mastering the art of riding a bicycle has become a significant childhood milestone, and at Oak Crest in 07066, NJ, children have an ideal environment to achieve this skill in our new Bicycle Village. This facility boasts a 1/4 mile training course, a state-of-the-art pump track, and a mountain bike preparation trail. Our experienced instructors offer personalized attention, allowing novice riders to gain the confidence they need. As campers advance, they have the opportunity to participate in our dynamic Mountain Biking Program, with Oak Crest providing appropriately sized bikes and helmets.

Ropes Courses

The Confidence Course, positioned 5 feet above the ground, allows campers to familiarize themselves with belaying and navigate various elements similar to those found in our High Ropes Course. The Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard zip line, and the exhilarating Giant Swing. The High Ropes course offers additional rock walls and challenging mid-air obstacles.

Before each season, our ropes courses undergo rigorous safety inspections and receive certification from the same company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who guide groups through the courses, conduct daily inspections to ensure ongoing safety standards are met.
