Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders) Summer Camp near 08540

At Oak Crest in 08540, NJ, our Junior campers engage in a dynamic array of activities such as Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, Camper vs. Wild (pioneering), and more. Their schedule offers a blend of athletic and creative pursuits, in addition to Instructional Swim and the Climbing Tower. A distinctive feature for Junior campers is the Late Night program, providing an opportunity to extend their stay for an exclusive dinner, additional swim time, extra games, a special event, and an evening campfire with delightful S’mores.

Junior Athletics

At the Junior level, we introduce League Play, where camp groups participate in dynamic matches of Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. These activities and opponents rotate weekly, ensuring a consistently competitive and engaging experience for our campers.

At Oak Crest, our Learn to Swim Program stands as a cornerstone of our camp experience, set within our state-of-the-art aquatic facility in 08540, NJ. The 3rd Grade Juniors benefit from our recently constructed, 12,000-square-foot Aquatic Complex, thoughtfully designed exclusively for 3-8 year-olds. Meanwhile, our 4th grade Juniors enjoy swimming in our Gigantic Pool, featuring eight 25-meter lanes. Both facilities offer the advantage of shallow water, allowing us to initiate all swimmers in standing depth and progressively challenge them in deeper waters as their skills develop.

Each morning, Juniors partake in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with group counselors providing support. Our approach emphasizes skill-based instruction, ensuring a rewarding experience for swimmers of all levels. We annually train and certify our instructors, drawing not only from American Red Cross standards but also from over 25 years of hands-on experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoon, Juniors enjoy the opportunity for free swim in the pools.

Learn to Ride a Bicycle

The Climbing Tower features two distinct rock walls, a 200-yard zip line, and the exhilarating Giant Swing. The High Ropes course offers an array of additional rock walls and mid-air challenges for an exciting adventure.

Prior to each season, our ropes courses undergo rigorous safety inspections and certification by the same company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who expertly guide groups through the courses, conduct daily inspections to ensure the ongoing safety of all participants.
