Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders) Summer Camp near 08828

At Oak Crest in 08828, New Jersey, junior campers engage in a diverse array of activities such as Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, Camper vs. Wild (pioneering), and more. Their schedule is packed with athletic and creative pursuits, along with Instructional Swim and the Climbing Tower. An exclusive benefit for junior campers is the Late Night program, enabling them to extend their day for a special dinner, extra swim time, additional games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire complete with S’mores.

Junior Athletics

Weekly schedules feature sports like Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, and more. At the Junior level, we introduce League Play, where groups participate in competitive Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. These activities and opponents change on a weekly basis, providing a dynamic and engaging experience for our campers.

Learn to Swim

At Oak Crest, our Learn to Swim Program is a cornerstone of the Oak Crest experience, with our state-of-the-art aquatic facility located in 08828, New Jersey, setting a standard of excellence. Our 3rd Grade Juniors have exclusive access to a recently constructed, 12,000-square-foot Aquatic Complex designed specifically for 3-8 year-olds. Meanwhile, 4th grade Juniors enjoy swimming in our Gigantic Pool, which boasts eight 25-meter lanes. Both facilities offer shallow water areas, allowing us to initiate swimmers in standing depth and gradually progress them into deeper waters as their skills advance.

Every morning, our Juniors participate in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with group counselors providing additional support. These lessons are skill-based rather than age-based, ensuring that swimmers of all levels are appropriately challenged. Our instructors undergo annual training and certification, drawing not only from American Red Cross standards but also from over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoon, Juniors have the opportunity for free swim in the pools.

Learn to Ride a Bicycle

The Confidence Course, situated 5 feet above the ground, allows campers to acquaint themselves with belaying techniques and navigate various elements similar to those found in our High Ropes Course. Our Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a 200-yard zip line, and the thrilling Giant Swing, while the High Ropes course offers additional rock walls and mid-air challenges.

Prior to each season, our ropes courses undergo rigorous safety inspections and certification by the same company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who guide groups through the courses, conduct daily inspections to ensure the ongoing safety of our campers.
