Tailored for 9th and 10th graders, our Leadership-in-Training (LIT) program focuses on cultivating problem-solving, role modeling, and teamwork abilities. Leadership Trip: GLOBAL ROUTES: Appalachian Leadership Training Expedition at Worthington State Forest
Participate in a hiking expedition in Worthington State Forest, near Franklin Township, emphasizing practical skills like backpacking, rock climbing, hiking, campsite setup, and canoeing on the Delaware River. The program instills teamwork, leadership, and responsibility in teenagers through joint leadership training from Oak Crest and Global Routes staff, coupled with immersive hiking and camping activities. The main goal is to challenge young participants, pushing them beyond their comfort zones to uncover their potential. With a successful eight-year track record, the program consistently garners positive reviews and demonstrates commendable outcomes.
