Gain practical leadership skills in Manville, New Jersey, with immediate application upon your return. Tailored for 9th and 10th graders, our Leadership-in-Training (LIT) program focuses on developing problem-solving, role modeling, and teamwork skills to redefine success and exceptionality. Embrace significant responsibilities and prepare for a future staff role through an immersive experience, including an overnight trip and active participation with various age groups at camp. Leadership Trip: GLOBAL ROUTES: Appalachian Leadership Training Expedition at Worthington State Forest
Participate in a challenging hiking expedition at Worthington State Forest near Manville, emphasizing practical skills like backpack preparation, rock climbing, hiking, campsite setup, and canoeing on the Delaware River. The program instills teamwork, leadership, and responsibility in teenagers through training by Oak Crest and Global Routes staff, along with extensive outdoor activities. The main goal is to push participants beyond their comfort zones, fostering personal growth.
