The LIT Experience

If you’re a 9th or 10th grader, redefine success and excellence through our Leadership-in-Training (LIT) program, designed to develop problem-solving, role modeling, and teamwork skills.

The LIT experience encompasses an overnight trip and active participation in camp across various age groups, enhancing your skill set. Leadership Trip: GLOBAL ROUTES: Appalachian Leadership Training Expedition at Worthington State Forest
Participate in a hiking expedition at Worthington State Forest in Middlesex, emphasizing practical skills like backpack preparation, rock climbing, hiking, campsite setup, and canoeing on the Delaware River. The program cultivates teamwork, leadership, and responsibility in teenagers through training facilitated by Oak Crest and Global Routes staff, coupled with extensive hiking and camping activities. The main goal is to push young participants beyond their comfort zones, fostering personal discovery and growth. With a successful eight-year track record, the program consistently garners positive reviews and demonstrates commendable outcomes.
