The LIT Experience
Hone practical leadership skills in Warren, New Jersey, and immediately apply them. Our primary goal is to cultivate success and deliver an outstanding summer for families. As a 9th or 10th grader, redefine success and exceptionality through our Leadership-in-Training (LIT) program, where you’ll develop problem-solving, role modeling, and teamwork skills.

The LIT experience involves an overnight trip and active participation in camp with various age groups, enhancing your skill set. Staff Training at Oak Crest equips LITs to work effectively with campers, providing daily feedback and weekly meetings to address challenges and devise effective strategies. Leadership Trip: GLOBAL ROUTES: Appalachian Leadership Training Expedition at Worthington State Forest
Engage in a hiking expedition in Worthington State Forest near Warren, emphasizing practical skills like backpack preparation, rock climbing, hiking, campsite setup, and canoeing on the Delaware River. The program instills teamwork, leadership, and responsibility in teenagers through training from Oak Crest and Global Routes staff, coupled with extensive hiking and camping activities. The main goal is to challenge participants, pushing them beyond comfort zones to discover their potential. With a proven track record spanning eight years, the program consistently garners positive reviews and demonstrates commendable outcomes.
