Notable summer highlights for seniors comprise ‘Late Nights,’ which extend camp hours for a special dinner, extra swim time, additional games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire featuring delicious S’mores.
Senior Athletics
In 07060, NJ, our senior campers enjoy a diverse range of athletic activities on our full-sized fields. Weekly schedules feature sports such as Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. Led by experienced Athletic Specialists, each session includes skill instruction followed by gameplay designed to reinforce the newly acquired skills. Oak Crest counselors actively engage with campers, working alongside specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success.
Additionally, Senior Boys and Girls incorporate League Play into their schedules, engaging in friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball, with rotating activities and opponents each week.
Creative Arts
Located in 07060, NJ, your child will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a wide variety of artistic activities within our comfortable, air-conditioned classrooms, led by experienced art instructors. Weekly sessions encompass diverse options, including Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more.
Furthermore, our Senior Girl groups take center stage with a dance routine featured in our annual ‘Showcrest,’ a significant Dance and Drama Production. Traditionally held during the 6th week of camp at a local venue, this event boasts professional sound and lighting, delivering a truly impactful experience.
Learn to Swim
Located in 07060, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program serves as a fundamental component of the Oak Crest experience, making use of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Seniors have the privilege of accessing the impressive Gigantic Pool, equipped with eight 25m lanes.
Every morning, Senior campers participate in a 40-minute swim lesson, led by certified swim instructors and supported by group counselors. Our swim lessons are tailored to individual skill levels rather than age, allowing us to challenge swimmers of varying proficiencies. We annually train and certify our own instructors, drawing upon more than 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, Senior Campers return to the pools for Free Swim.
Ropes Courses
Located in 07060, NJ, our Senior campers have the opportunity to engage in Climbing Tower and High Ropes course activities on a weekly basis. The Climbing Tower offers two distinctive rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard Zipline, a challenging Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and an exhilarating Giant Swing. Meanwhile, the High Ropes course includes additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
To prioritize safety, our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification before each season by the company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who lead the groups through all courses, perform daily safety checks.
Choice
In 07060, NJ, during the Choice period, campers have the flexibility to choose their weekly activity from a rotating list. Each week, campers can opt for a new activity from a diverse selection that encompasses both athletic and creative options. Additionally, Senior campers have the unique chance to participate in our annual Drama Production or be part of the special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the show.
Social Development

These group activities provide valuable lessons in collaboration, mutual support, and effective communication.
