Senior Athletics

Their weekly schedules feature sports like Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These sessions are led by dedicated Athletic Specialists who provide skill instruction followed by gameplay to reinforce the newly acquired skills. What sets Oak Crest apart is our counselors’ active participation alongside campers, collaborating with specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success.
Moreover, Senior Boys and Girls at Oak Crest incorporate League Play into their schedules, which involves friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. These activities feature rotating opponents each week, adding an extra layer of excitement to the overall experience.
Creative Arts
Located in 07091, NJ, our program offers a rich variety of artistic activities for your child, all conducted in air-conditioned classrooms under the guidance of experienced art teachers. Weekly sessions encompass a wide range of subjects including Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more.
Furthermore, within the Senior Girl groups, there is a special opportunity for artistic expression as they showcase a dance routine in our annual Showcrest, a prominent Dance and Drama Production. Typically held during the 6th week of camp at a local venue, this event boasts professional sound and lighting to provide an impactful and memorable experience.
Learn to Swim
In 07091, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a cornerstone of our camp experience, making use of our state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Senior campers enjoy access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, featuring eight 25m lanes.
Each morning, seniors engage in a 40-minute swim lesson, led by certified swim instructors and assisted by group counselors. Our swim lessons are skill-based, rather than age-dependent, allowing us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. Our instructors undergo annual training and certification, drawing upon over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers return to the pools for Free Swim, providing additional opportunities to enjoy the water.
Ropes Courses
In 07091, NJ, senior campers at Oak Crest eagerly participate in the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course on a weekly basis. The Climbing Tower is equipped with two distinct rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard Zipline, a challenging Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and an exhilarating Giant Swing. Meanwhile, the High Ropes course offers additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
Our commitment to safety is paramount. Prior to each season, our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification by the company responsible for their construction. Moreover, our certified ropes instructors, who expertly guide the groups through all courses, conduct daily safety checks to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for our campers.
Choice
Located in 07091, NJ, our camp offers an exciting Choice period where campers can select an activity for the week from a rotating list. Each week, campers have the flexibility to choose a new activity from a dynamic list that spans a wide spectrum of athletic and creative options.
In addition to these choices, senior campers are presented with the opportunity to either participate in our annual Drama Production or join the special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the show, adding an extra layer of excitement to our camp experience.
Social Development
