Seniors (5th & 6th Graders) Summer Camp near 07095
Senior campers in 07095, NJ, have exclusive access to Oak Crest’s diverse activities, including exciting day trips like the popular Dorney Park visit. They can engage in a wide variety of activities and select from advanced options. Highlights of the summer for seniors include Late Nights, offering extended camp access with special dinners, extra swim time, additional games, unique events, and a twilight campfire featuring S’mores.
Senior Athletics
At our 07095, NJ location, senior campers enjoy an array of athletic activities on full-sized fields. Weekly schedules feature sports like Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These sessions are led by Athletic Specialists who provide skill instruction followed by gameplay to reinforce the newly acquired skills. Oak Crest counselors actively engage with campers, collaborating with specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success.
Furthermore, Senior Boys and Girls incorporate League Play into their schedules, participating in friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball, with rotating activities and opponents each week.
Creative Arts
Located in 07095, NJ, your child will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of artistic activities in air-conditioned classrooms, led by experienced art teachers. Our weekly sessions encompass diverse offerings, including Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more.
Additionally, all Senior Girl groups participate in our annual Showcrest, a prominent Dance and Drama Production. This significant event, typically scheduled during the 6th week of camp at a local venue, boasts professional sound and lighting to deliver a truly impactful experience.
Learn to Swim
Within 07095, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program serves as a fundamental component of the Oak Crest experience, making use of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Senior campers enjoy access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, equipped with eight 25m lanes.
Every morning, seniors engage in a 40-minute swim lesson guided by certified swim instructors, with additional support from group counselors. Our swim lessons prioritize skill development rather than age, enabling us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. We annually train and certify our instructors, leveraging over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers return to the pools for Free Swim.
Ropes Courses
Located in 07095, NJ, our senior campers actively participate in the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course on a weekly basis. The Climbing Tower offers two distinct rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and the exhilarating Giant Swing. Meanwhile, the High Ropes course includes additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
Safety is paramount, and we take extensive measures to ensure it. Our ropes courses undergo rigorous inspection and certification before each season by the company responsible for their construction. Moreover, our certified ropes instructors, who guide the groups through all courses, conduct daily safety checks to maintain the highest standards of safety.
Choice
Located in 07095, NJ, our camp offers a Choice period where campers can select their activity for the week from a rotating list. Each week, campers can choose a new activity from a diverse list that includes both athletic and creative options.
In addition to these choices, senior campers have the unique opportunity to participate in our annual Drama Production or be a part of the special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the show.
Social Development
Located in 07095, NJ, our camp provides campers with opportunities for team-building challenges and competitions under the guidance of our camp counselors. These collective experiences offer valuable lessons in collaboration, mutual support, and effective communication. The group dynamics, combined with the active involvement of counselors, promote respect within the group and encourage the formation of enduring friendships.
