Senior Athletics

Their weekly schedules encompass a wide range of sports, including Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These activities are led by specialized Athletic Instructors, with each session involving skill instruction followed by gameplay designed to reinforce the newly acquired skills. Our Oak Crest counselors actively participate alongside campers, working closely with the specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success.
Furthermore, Senior Boys and Girls have the opportunity to incorporate League Play into their schedules. This involves friendly competitions in sports like Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball, with rotating activities and opponents each week, adding an extra layer of excitement and camaraderie to their summer camp experience.
Creative Arts

These weekly sessions include Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more.
Furthermore, our Senior Girl groups take center stage in our annual Showcrest, a significant Dance and Drama Production. Learn to Swim
Located in 07921, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a cornerstone of our camp experience, making use of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Senior campers enjoy access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, equipped with eight 25m lanes.
Each morning, seniors participate in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with additional support from group counselors. Our swim lessons prioritize skill development rather than being based solely on age, allowing us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. We annually train and certify our own instructors, leveraging over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers return to the pools for Free Swim, further enhancing their aquatic skills.
Ropes Courses
In 07921, NJ, senior campers at Oak Crest actively engage in the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course on a weekly basis. The Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and the exhilarating Giant Swing. Meanwhile, the High Ropes course offers a series of challenging mid-air elements and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
Our commitment to safety is paramount. Prior to each season, our ropes courses undergo rigorous inspection and certification by the company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who expertly guide campers through all courses, conduct daily safety checks, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for all.
Choice
Located in 07921, NJ, our camp offers a Choice period where campers can select an activity for the week from a rotating list. Each week, campers have the flexibility to choose a new activity from a dynamic list that encompasses a variety of athletic and creative options. In addition to these choices, senior campers have the unique opportunity to participate in our annual Drama Production or be part of a special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the program.
Social Development
