These include thrilling day trips, such as the highly anticipated visit to Dorney Park, along with a plethora of diverse activity options. The summer’s highlights for seniors encompass ‘Late Nights,’ offering extended camp hours for a special dinner, additional swimming opportunities, enhanced gaming experiences, distinctive events, and an enchanting twilight campfire featuring delicious S’mores.
Senior Athletics
Senior participants from the 07939, NJ area at our camp engage in a rich variety of athletic activities on our full-sized fields. The weekly schedules encompass a wide range of sports, including Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These activities are overseen by dedicated Athletic Specialists who provide skill instruction and facilitate gameplay sessions to reinforce the newly acquired skills. In addition to the regular sports programming, Senior Boys and Girls also incorporate League Play into their schedules. This involves friendly competitions in sports like Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball, with rotating activities and opponents each week, adding an extra layer of excitement and camaraderie to their summer experience.
Creative Arts
Located in 07939, NJ, our program offers a wide array of artistic activities for your child, conducted in comfortable air-conditioned classrooms and guided by experienced art teachers. The weekly sessions encompass a diverse range of creative pursuits, including Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more.
Additionally, our Senior Girl groups participate in a special highlight of the summer, the annual Showcrest. This significant Dance and Drama Production, traditionally scheduled during the 6th week of camp at a local venue, showcases the talents of our campers. Learn to Swim
Located in 07939, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is an integral part of the camp experience, utilizing a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Seniors have exclusive access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, boasting eight 25m lanes.
Every morning, Senior campers participate in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with support from group counselors. Our swim lessons prioritize skill development rather than age, enabling us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. We take pride in annually training and certifying our own instructors, leveraging over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children to swim. In the afternoons, Senior Campers enjoy Free Swim sessions in our outstanding pools.
Ropes Courses
Located in 07939, NJ, our Senior campers have the opportunity to engage in the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course on a weekly basis. The Climbing Tower boasts two distinctive rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard Zipline, a challenging Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and an exhilarating Giant Swing. The High Ropes course extends the adventure with additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
At Oak Crest, safety is our top priority. Before each season, both our ropes courses undergo rigorous inspection and certification by the company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who guide the campers through all the courses, conduct daily safety checks to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.
Choice
Within 07939, NJ, during the Choice period, our campers enjoy the freedom to select a weekly activity from a rotating list. Each week presents campers with the opportunity to explore new interests from a dynamic list, encompassing a variety of athletic and creative options. Additionally, Seniors have the exclusive chance to participate in our annual Drama Production or contribute to the special Dance routine, together known as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both Drama and Dance consistently shine as standout highlights of the show.
Social Development
