The summer’s highlight events for senior campers encompass ‘Late Nights,’ offering extended camp hours for an exclusive dinner, additional swim sessions, extra gaming opportunities, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire complete with S’mores.
Senior Athletics

Each week, their schedules are filled with sports such as Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These activities are led by Athletic Specialists who provide skill instruction followed by gameplay designed to reinforce the newly acquired skills. Oak Crest counselors actively engage with campers, working closely with specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success. Furthermore, our Senior Boys and Girls incorporate League Play into their schedules, which involves friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. These competitions feature rotating activities and opponents each week, adding to the variety and excitement of their camp experience.
Creative Arts

Our weekly sessions encompass various disciplines including Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature exploration, Camper vs. Wild adventures, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more.
Furthermore, our Senior Girl groups take center stage in the annual Showcrest, a significant Dance and Drama Production. This grand event typically takes place during the 6th week of camp at a local venue and features professional-grade sound and lighting, creating a truly impactful and memorable experience for both participants and spectators.
Learn to Swim
Located in 07977, New Jersey, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a cornerstone of our camp experience, taking advantage of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Our senior campers have exclusive access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, featuring eight 25m lanes.
Each morning, seniors engage in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with additional support from group counselors. Our swim lessons are skill-based, tailored to individual proficiency rather than age, allowing us to challenge swimmers at various levels of expertise. We take pride in annually training and certifying our own instructors, drawing upon over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children the art of swimming. In the afternoons, senior campers return to the pools for Free Swim, adding to their aquatic enjoyment.
Ropes Courses
In 07977, New Jersey, senior campers at Oak Crest regularly participate in our Climbing Tower and High Ropes course activities. The Climbing Tower offers two distinct rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard Zipline, a challenging Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and an exhilarating Giant Swing. Our High Ropes course features additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
Safety is paramount in our program. Before each season, our ropes courses undergo rigorous inspection and certification by the company responsible for their construction. In addition, our certified ropes instructors, who guide campers through all courses, conduct daily safety checks to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.
Choice
Located in 07977, New Jersey, our campers have the opportunity to make personalized activity choices during the Choice period. Every week, campers can select a new activity from a diverse and ever-changing list that encompasses a wide range of athletic and creative options.
For seniors, the choices extend further, as they can participate in our annual Drama Production or become part of the special Dance routine, known collectively as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of our program.
Social Development
