Seniors residing in 08807, NJ, have the opportunity to fully engage in Oak Crest’s wide array of activities, including thrilling day trips such as the highly sought-after visit to Dorney Park. They can also participate in a variety of activities, with the option to select more advanced experiences. The summer’s highlight events for senior campers encompass ‘Late Nights,’ offering extended camp access for an exclusive dinner, additional swim hours, extra games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire featuring S’mores.
Senior Athletics
At our 08807, NJ location, senior campers engage in a diverse array of athletic activities on our expansive full-sized fields. Their weekly schedules feature a wide range of sports including Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. Our dedicated Athletic Specialists lead each session, which includes skill instruction followed by gameplay to reinforce the newly acquired skills. Oak Crest counselors actively participate alongside campers, collaborating with specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success.
In addition, our Senior Boys and Girls incorporate League Play into their schedules. This entails friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball, with rotating activities and opponents each week.
Creative Arts
Located in 08807, NJ, your child will have the opportunity to participate in a rich variety of artistic activities conducted in air-conditioned classrooms, led by experienced and skilled art teachers. Our weekly sessions encompass a wide range of creative endeavors, including Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more.
Furthermore, all Senior Girl groups proudly present a dance routine as part of our annual Showcrest, a significant Dance and Drama Production. This remarkable event, traditionally held during the 6th week of camp at a local venue, is enhanced with professional sound and lighting to provide a truly impactful and memorable experience.
Learn to Swim
Located in 08807, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a fundamental aspect of our camp experience, utilizing a state-of-the-art aquatic facility, including the impressive Gigantic Pool equipped with eight 25m lanes.
Each morning, our senior campers engage in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with the assistance of group counselors. Our swim lessons are skill-based, focusing on proficiency rather than age, allowing us to challenge swimmers at various levels of expertise. We annually train and certify our own instructors, drawing from over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers have the opportunity to enjoy Free Swim in our pools.
Ropes Courses
Within 08807, NJ, our senior campers eagerly partake in weekly adventures at the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course. The Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard Zipline, a challenging Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and an exhilarating Giant Swing. The High Ropes course offers even more rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a cutting-edge High Ropes Confidence Course.
To prioritize safety, our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification by the construction company before each season. In addition, our certified ropes instructors, responsible for guiding the groups through all courses, conduct daily safety checks to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.
Choice
Located in 08807, NJ, during the Choice period, campers have the flexibility to select their preferred activity for the week from a rotating list. Each week, campers can explore a new interest from a dynamic selection encompassing a variety of athletic and creative options. In addition to these choices, senior campers have the unique opportunity to become part of our annual Drama Production or take part in the special Dance routine, collectively referred to as Showcrest. The senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the show.
Social Development
