Senior Athletics

Our weekly schedules are filled with sports such as Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These sessions are led by Athletic Specialists who provide skill instruction followed by gameplay aimed at reinforcing the newly acquired skills. Oak Crest counselors actively engage with campers, collaborating closely with specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success.
Moreover, our Senior Boys and Girls incorporate League Play into their schedules, featuring friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. These activities rotate weekly, offering campers the chance to compete against different opponents, enhancing their overall experience.
Creative Arts
Located in 08822, NJ, your child will have the opportunity to participate in a wide array of artistic activities in air-conditioned classrooms, guided by experienced art teachers. Learn to Swim
In 08822, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a foundational component of the Oak Crest experience, taking advantage of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Seniors have exclusive access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, boasting eight 25m lanes.
Each morning, our senior campers engage in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with support from group counselors. Our approach focuses on skill-based instruction rather than age-based categorization, allowing us to challenge swimmers at varying proficiency levels. Furthermore, we annually train and certify our own instructors, drawing upon over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers return to the pools for Free Swim.
Ropes Courses
In 08822, NJ, our senior campers have the opportunity to partake in weekly activities at our Climbing Tower and High Ropes course. The Climbing Tower offers two distinct rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard Zipline, a challenging Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and an exhilarating Giant Swing. The High Ropes course complements this with additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
To ensure the utmost safety, our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification before each season by the company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who guide the groups through all courses, conduct daily safety checks to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for our campers.
Choice

Each week, campers can choose a new activity from a diverse and dynamic list that encompasses a wide range of athletic and creative pursuits. In addition to these choices, our senior campers enjoy the opportunity to participate in our annual Drama Production or take part in a special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the show.
Social Development
