Seniors (5th & 6th Graders) Summer Camp near 08835
Senior campers in 08835, NJ, have exclusive access to Oak Crest’s diverse activities, including exciting day trips such as the popular visit to Dorney Park. They can participate in a wide array of activities, with the option to explore more advanced choices. Highlighted summer events for seniors feature ‘Late Nights,’ offering extended camp access for a special dinner, additional swim time, extra games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire complete with S’mores.
Senior Athletics
Seniors in 08835, NJ, partake in a diverse range of athletic activities on our full-sized fields at Oak Crest. Weekly schedules feature sports such as Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. Our Athletic Specialists lead each session, providing skill instruction followed by gameplay to reinforce newly acquired skills. Oak Crest counselors actively engage with campers, working alongside specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success.
Furthermore, Senior Boys and Girls add League Play to their schedules, engaging in friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball, with rotating activities and opponents each week.
Creative Arts
Within 08835, NJ, your child will experience a wide array of artistic activities in air-conditioned classrooms, led by experienced art instructors. Our weekly sessions encompass Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and various other options.
Furthermore, our Senior Girl groups take center stage with a dance routine showcased in our annual event, Showcrest – a significant Dance and Drama Production. Traditionally held during the 6th week of camp at a local venue, this remarkable event is equipped with professional sound and lighting to provide a truly impactful experience.
Learn to Swim
In 08835, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a fundamental component of the Oak Crest experience, making use of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Seniors have exclusive access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, equipped with eight 25m lanes.
Each morning, Senior campers engage in a 40-minute swim lesson, led by certified swim instructors and supported by group counselors. Our swim lessons focus on skill development rather than age, allowing us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. Our instructors undergo annual training and certification, drawing upon over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, Senior Campers return to the pools for Free Swim.
Ropes Courses
In 08835, NJ, Seniors actively engage in our Climbing Tower and High Ropes course on a weekly basis. The Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and an exhilarating Giant Swing. Our High Ropes course complements the adventure with additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a cutting-edge High Ropes Confidence Course.
To prioritize safety, our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification before each season, carried out by the company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who expertly guide the groups through all courses, conduct daily safety checks.
Choice
In 08835, NJ, during the Choice period, campers have the flexibility to choose a weekly activity from a rotating list. Each week presents campers with the opportunity to explore a new activity from a dynamic list encompassing both athletic and creative options. Additionally, Senior campers enjoy the privilege of participating in our annual Drama Production or joining the special Dance routine, collectively referred to as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the show.
Social Development
