Senior Athletics

Each week, they engage in sports like Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. Our dedicated Athletic Specialists lead each session, providing skill instruction and facilitating gameplay to reinforce these newly acquired skills. What sets Oak Crest apart is the active involvement of our counselors, who actively participate alongside the campers, working closely with specialists to ensure meaningful opportunities for success.
Moreover, our Senior Boys and Girls also incorporate League Play into their schedules, featuring friendly competitions in sports like Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. These activities rotate weekly, providing a dynamic experience with different opponents and challenges.
Creative Arts

Learn to Swim
In 08836, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a foundational component of our camp experience, making use of a cutting-edge aquatic facility. Seniors have exclusive access to our impressive Gigantic Pool, equipped with eight 25-meter lanes.
Each morning, seniors engage in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with the support of group counselors. Our swim lessons are designed to be skill-based rather than age-dependent, enabling us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. Furthermore, we annually train and certify our own instructors, drawing upon over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers return to the pools for Free Swim, providing an opportunity for them to further enjoy the aquatic experience.
Ropes Courses
In 08836, NJ, senior campers at Oak Crest actively participate in the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course on a weekly basis. Our Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and the exhilarating Giant Swing. Meanwhile, the High Ropes course offers additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
To ensure the utmost safety, our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification before each season, overseen by the company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who expertly guide the groups through all courses, conduct daily safety checks to guarantee a secure and enjoyable experience for our campers.
Choice

Each week, campers can explore a new activity from a dynamic selection that spans both athletic and creative pursuits. Moreover, our senior campers enjoy the unique opportunity to engage in our annual Drama Production or participate in a special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as the show’s highlights, showcasing their talent and dedication.
