Seniors can select from a diverse range of activities, including more advanced options. Notable events throughout the summer for seniors comprise ‘Late Nights,’ offering extended camp access for a special dinner, additional swimming time, extra games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire featuring S’mores.
Senior Athletics

The weekly schedules feature sports like Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These sessions are led by Athletic Specialists who provide skill instruction followed by gameplay aimed at reinforcing the newly acquired skills. Our Oak Crest counselors actively participate alongside campers, working in collaboration with specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success. Furthermore, senior boys and girls incorporate League Play into their schedules, involving friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. These activities feature rotating opponents each week, adding an extra element of excitement to the overall experience.
Creative Arts
Located in 08852, NJ, your child will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of artistic activities conducted in air-conditioned classrooms, under the guidance of experienced art instructors. Weekly sessions encompass activities such as Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more. In addition, all Senior Girl groups take center stage by showcasing a dance routine in our annual Showcrest, a significant Dance and Drama Production. Learn to Swim
In 08852, NJ, the Oak Crest Learn to Swim Program plays a pivotal role in the Oak Crest experience, making use of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Senior campers enjoy access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, equipped with eight 25m lanes. Each morning, seniors engage in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with support from group counselors. Our swim lessons are skill-based, tailored to individual proficiency levels rather than age, ensuring that swimmers are appropriately challenged. We take pride in annually training and certifying our instructors, drawing upon over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers return to the pools for Free Swim.
Ropes Courses
Located in 08852, NJ, senior campers at Oak Crest enjoy weekly participation in the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course, offering a thrilling and challenging experience. The Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and the exhilarating Giant Swing. Meanwhile, the High Ropes course features additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course. To prioritize safety, our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification before each season, conducted by the company responsible for their construction. Moreover, our certified ropes instructors, who lead the groups through all courses, perform daily safety checks to ensure a secure and enjoyable adventure.
Choice
Within the 08852, NJ location, during the Choice period, campers are afforded the opportunity to select an activity for the week from a rotating list. Each week, campers can choose a new activity from a dynamic list that encompasses a variety of athletic and creative options. Additionally, seniors have the privilege to engage in our annual Drama Production or join the special Dance routine, collectively referred to as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the show.
Social Development
