Senior campers in 08869, New Jersey, have the privilege of accessing Oak Crest’s extensive array of activities, which encompass exciting day trips like the highly anticipated visit to Dorney Park. They can engage in a wide spectrum of activities and opt for more advanced options. Noteworthy summer events for seniors include Late Nights, offering extended camp hours for a special dinner, additional swimming sessions, extra games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire complete with S’mores.
Senior Athletics
At our 08869, New Jersey location, senior campers enjoy a diverse range of athletic activities on our full-sized fields. Weekly schedules feature sports such as Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These activities are led by dedicated Athletic Specialists who provide skill instruction followed by gameplay to reinforce newly acquired skills. Our Oak Crest counselors actively engage with campers, collaborating with specialists to foster meaningful opportunities for success.
In addition to regular athletic activities, Senior Boys and Girls also participate in League Play as part of their schedules. This involves friendly competitions in sports like Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball, with rotating activities and opponents each week.
Creative Arts
Located in 08869, New Jersey, our program offers a wide variety of artistic activities for your child in air-conditioned classrooms, led by experienced art teachers. Weekly sessions encompass activities such as Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more.
Furthermore, our Senior Girl groups participate in a special annual event known as Showcrest. This significant Dance and Drama Production, traditionally held during the 6th week of camp at a local venue, showcases dance routines and is accompanied by professional sound and lighting for an impactful and memorable experience.
Learn to Swim
Located in 08869, New Jersey, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a fundamental component of the Oak Crest experience, making use of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Seniors have access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, equipped with eight 25m lanes.
Every morning, Senior campers participate in a 40-minute swim lesson guided by certified swim instructors, with additional support from group counselors. Our swim lessons are tailored to individual skill levels rather than age, allowing us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. We take pride in annually training and certifying our own instructors, drawing from over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, Senior Campers return to the pools for Free Swim.
Ropes Courses
In 08869, New Jersey, our Senior campers engage in weekly activities at the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course. The Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and an exhilarating Giant Swing. The High Ropes course offers further adventure with additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
To prioritize safety, our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification before each season by the company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who lead the groups through all courses, conduct daily safety checks to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Choice
Located in 08869, New Jersey, our camp offers a unique Choice period where campers can select an activity for the week from a rotating list of options. Each week, campers have the opportunity to choose a new activity from a dynamic list that spans both athletic and creative pursuits.
Additionally, our Senior campers enjoy the privilege of participating in our annual Drama Production and a special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. These Senior performances consistently shine as standout highlights of our camp’s artistic offerings.
Social Development
