Senior Athletics

Each week, their schedules are packed with sports like Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These activities are led by Athletic Specialists who provide skill instruction followed by gameplay to reinforce the newly acquired skills. Oak Crest counselors actively engage with campers, working alongside specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success.
Furthermore, Senior Boys and Girls also incorporate League Play into their schedules, featuring friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. These activities involve rotating opponents and games each week, adding an element of variety and excitement to the experience.
Creative Arts

Learn to Swim
In 08989, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a cornerstone of our camp experience, making use of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility that includes the impressive Gigantic Pool with eight 25m lanes. Seniors benefit from daily 40-minute swim lessons led by certified instructors, with additional support from group counselors. Our swim lessons prioritize skill development over age, ensuring that swimmers of all proficiency levels are appropriately challenged. We take pride in annually training and certifying our own instructors, drawing upon over 25 years of practical expertise in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, Senior Campers return to the pools for Free Swim, allowing them to further enjoy and practice their swimming skills.
Ropes Courses
In 08989, NJ, our Senior campers engage in weekly adventures on the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course. The Climbing Tower offers two distinct rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard Zipline, a challenging Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and an exhilarating Giant Swing. The High Ropes course complements the experience with additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a cutting-edge High Ropes Confidence Course.
To prioritize safety, our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification before each season, conducted by the company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who guide the groups through these courses, perform daily safety checks to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for our campers.
Choice

Every week, campers can opt for a new activity from a diverse list that encompasses both athletic and creative options. Additionally, Seniors have the unique opportunity to either participate in our annual Drama Production or contribute to the special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. These Senior performances in both Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of our camp program.
Social Development
