Seniors (5th & 6th Graders) Summer Camp near Bedminster
Bedminster, NJ senior campers at Oak Crest have the opportunity to fully engage in a variety of activities, including thrilling day trips such as the highly anticipated visit to Dorney Park. They can participate in a wide range of activities, with the option to explore more advanced options. Seniors can look forward to exceptional summer events, including Late Nights, offering extended camp access for an exclusive dinner experience, additional swimming time, extra games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire complete with S’mores.
Senior Athletics
At our Bedminster, NJ location, seniors enjoy a diverse array of athletic activities on our full-sized fields. Weekly schedules feature sports such as Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These sessions, led by experienced Athletic Specialists, include skill instruction followed by gameplay to reinforce newly acquired skills. Oak Crest counselors actively engage with campers, working alongside specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success.
In addition, Senior Boys and Girls integrate League Play into their schedules, engaging in friendly competitions encompassing Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. This dynamic program features rotating activities and opponents each week, adding excitement and variety to the summer experience.
Creative Arts
Located in Bedminster, NJ, your child will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of artistic activities in air-conditioned classrooms, under the guidance of experienced art teachers. Our weekly sessions include Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more.
Furthermore, all Senior Girl groups have the chance to showcase their talents in a dance routine as part of our annual Showcrest, a significant Dance and Drama Production. This impressive event, typically hosted during the 6th week of camp at a local venue, offers a professional sound and lighting setup to provide a truly impactful experience.
Learn to Swim
In Bedminster, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a fundamental component of the Oak Crest experience, taking advantage of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility that includes the impressive Gigantic Pool featuring eight 25-meter lanes.
Every morning, seniors participate in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with additional support from group counselors. Our swim lessons are skill-based, rather than age-dependent, allowing us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. We annually train and certify our own instructors, drawing from over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers have the opportunity to enjoy Free Swim sessions in the pools.
Ropes Courses
In Bedminster, NJ, our senior campers engage in weekly adventures on the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course. The Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard Zipline, a challenging Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and an exhilarating Giant Swing. Meanwhile, the High Ropes course features additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
We prioritize safety, and our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification before each season by the company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who guide the groups through all courses, conduct daily safety checks to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for our campers.
Choice

Each week, campers can explore a new activity from a dynamic roster that offers a variety of athletic and creative options. In addition to these choices, senior campers have the unique opportunity to be part of our annual Drama Production or participate in a special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as the standout highlights of the show.
Social Development
