Cranbury, NJ senior campers at Oak Crest have the opportunity to fully engage in a variety of activities, including exciting day trips such as the popular visit to Dorney Park. They can participate in a wide range of activities, including more advanced options. Standout summer events for seniors include Late Nights, offering extended camp access for special dinners, additional swim sessions, extra games, unique events, and twilight campfires featuring S’mores.
Senior Athletics
In Cranbury, NJ, our senior campers enjoy a diverse array of athletic activities on our full-sized fields. Our weekly schedules encompass sports such as Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. Guided by specialized Athletic Instructors, each session begins with skill instruction, followed by gameplay aimed at reinforcing these newly acquired abilities. Oak Crest counselors actively engage alongside campers, collaborating with instructors to facilitate meaningful success experiences.
Furthermore, Senior Boys and Girls incorporate League Play into their schedules, featuring friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. These activities rotate each week, providing opportunities for spirited competition with different opponents.
Creative Arts

Furthermore, our Senior Girl groups take center stage in our annual Showcrest, a significant Dance and Drama Production. Learn to Swim
In Cranbury, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a cornerstone of the Oak Crest experience, making use of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Seniors have access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, which boasts eight 25m lanes.
Each morning, seniors engage in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with the support of group counselors. Our swim lessons focus on skill development rather than being solely age-based, allowing us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. Annually, we train and certify our own instructors, drawing from over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers return to the pools for Free Swim.
Ropes Courses
In Cranbury, NJ, our senior campers actively engage in the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course on a weekly basis. The Climbing Tower offers two distinct rock walls, a 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and the exhilarating Giant Swing. Meanwhile, the High Ropes course features additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
We prioritize safety by subjecting our ropes courses to thorough inspection and certification before each season, conducted by the company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who guide the groups through all courses, perform daily safety checks to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.
Choice

Each week, campers can choose a new activity from a dynamic roster that spans both athletic and creative options. Additionally, our Senior campers have the unique opportunity to participate in our annual Drama Production or take part in a special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as the show’s highlights.
Social Development
