They have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities and opt for more advanced options. Highlights of the summer for seniors include ‘Late Nights,’ offering extended camp hours for a special dinner, additional swimming, extra games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire featuring delicious S’mores.
Senior Athletics
In East Brunswick, NJ, our senior campers at Oak Crest immerse themselves in a diverse range of athletic activities on our full-sized fields. Weekly schedules feature sports such as Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These sessions are led by dedicated Athletic Specialists, who provide skill instruction followed by gameplay to reinforce newly acquired skills. Oak Crest counselors actively engage with campers, collaborating with specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success.
Moreover, Senior Boys and Girls incorporate League Play into their schedules, participating in friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball, with rotating activities and opponents each week.
Creative Arts

Furthermore, all Senior Girl groups at Oak Crest participate in an annual event called Showcrest, a significant Dance and Drama Production traditionally held during the 6th week of camp at a local venue. Learn to Swim
In East Brunswick, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a fundamental component of our camp experience, utilizing a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Seniors have exclusive access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, equipped with eight 25-meter lanes.
Each morning, seniors participate in a 40-minute swim lesson guided by certified swim instructors, with support from group counselors. Our swim lessons are skill-based rather than age-dependent, allowing us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. We annually train and certify our own instructors, drawing upon over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers return to the pools for Free Swim.
Ropes Courses
In East Brunswick, NJ, our senior campers engage in weekly sessions at the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course, offering an exhilarating adventure. The Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and the thrilling Giant Swing. The High Ropes course further enhances the experience with additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
Safety is our utmost priority. Our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification before each season by the company responsible for their construction. In addition, our certified ropes instructors, who lead the groups through all courses, conduct daily safety checks to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.
Choice
In East Brunswick, NJ, during the Choice period, campers have the flexibility to select an activity for the week from a rotating list. Each week, campers can choose a new activity from a dynamic list that encompasses a diverse range of athletic and creative options. In addition to these choices, Senior campers have the privilege of participating in our annual Drama Production or contributing to the special Dance routine, collectively referred to as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the show.
Social Development
