Seniors (5th & 6th Graders) Summer Camp near Franklin Park

They have the flexibility to participate in a variety of activities, including more advanced options. Among the standout events for seniors during the summer are the ‘Late Nights,’ which extend camp hours to offer a special dinner, additional swim time, extra games, a one-of-a-kind event, and a twilight campfire complete with the delicious indulgence of S’mores.
Senior Athletics
At our Franklin Park, NJ facility, seniors are immersed in a comprehensive array of athletic pursuits on our full-sized fields. Their weekly schedules are brimming with diverse sports such as Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. Creative Arts

This impressive event, traditionally held during the 6th week of camp at a local venue, is equipped with professional sound and lighting, ensuring a truly impactful and memorable experience.
Learn to Swim
Located in Franklin Park, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a fundamental component of our camp experience, making use of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility, particularly the impressive Gigantic Pool, equipped with eight 25m lanes.
Every morning, senior campers engage in a 40-minute swim lesson, guided by certified swim instructors and supported by group counselors. Our swim lessons prioritize skill development over age, enabling us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. We take pride in our annual training and certification of our own instructors, leveraging over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers return to the pools for Free Swim, allowing them to further enjoy and practice their newfound skills.
Ropes Courses
In Franklin Park, NJ, our senior campers actively engage in the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course on a weekly basis, providing them with thrilling experiences and valuable skills. The Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and the exhilarating Giant Swing. Meanwhile, the High Ropes course includes additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
Safety is paramount in these activities. Our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification before each season by the company responsible for their construction. In addition to this, our certified ropes instructors, who expertly guide the groups through all the courses, diligently conduct daily safety checks, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for our campers.
Choice
In Franklin Park, NJ, our campers in the Choice period are afforded the flexibility to pick an activity for the week from a constantly evolving list. Each week, campers can explore a new interest from a diverse and dynamic selection that spans athletic and creative pursuits.
For our Senior campers, there are additional special opportunities available, such as participation in our annual Drama Production or the chance to be part of the captivating Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of our camp’s artistic and creative endeavors.
Social Development
