Seniors (5th & 6th Graders) Summer Camp near Franklin Township
In Franklin Township, NJ, senior campers at Oak Crest have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in a wide array of activities, including thrilling day trips like the highly anticipated visit to Dorney Park. They can explore a comprehensive selection of activities and opt for more advanced options. Notable summer highlights for seniors encompass ‘Late Nights,’ offering extended camp hours for an exclusive dinner, additional swimming sessions, extra games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire complete with delicious S’mores.
Senior Athletics
At our Franklin Township, NJ location, senior campers are actively involved in a wide range of athletic pursuits on our full-sized fields. Weekly schedules are carefully curated to feature an assortment of sports including Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These sessions are led by dedicated Athletic Specialists who provide skill instruction followed by gameplay designed to reinforce newly acquired abilities. Oak Crest counselors actively engage with campers, collaborating with specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success.
In addition to these activities, Senior Boys and Girls also participate in League Play, which involves friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. The lineup of activities and opponents rotates each week, adding an element of variety and excitement to the experience.
Creative Arts
Located in Franklin Township, NJ, your child will have the opportunity to participate in a rich array of artistic endeavors within air-conditioned classrooms, led by seasoned art instructors. Weekly sessions encompass a wide range of activities, including Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more.
Additionally, our Senior Girl groups take center stage by showcasing a dance routine during our annual Showcrest event, a prominent Dance and Drama Production. Traditionally held in the 6th week of camp at a local venue, this significant occasion boasts professional sound and lighting to deliver a truly impactful experience.
Learn to Swim
Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program in Franklin Township, NJ, is an integral part of our camp experience, making use of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Seniors enjoy access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, equipped with eight 25m lanes.
Each morning, Senior campers participate in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified instructors, with support from group counselors. Our swim lessons are skill-based rather than age-dependent, allowing us to challenge swimmers of various proficiency levels. We annually train and certify our instructors, drawing upon over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, Senior Campers have the opportunity for Free Swim sessions in the pools.
Ropes Courses
Located in Franklin Township, NJ, our Senior campers engage in Climbing Tower and High Ropes course activities on a weekly basis. The Climbing Tower offers two distinct rock walls, a 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and the exhilarating Giant Swing. Meanwhile, the High Ropes course comprises additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a cutting-edge High Ropes Confidence Course.
To ensure the utmost safety, our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification before each season, conducted by the company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who guide the groups through all courses, conduct daily safety checks to guarantee a secure and enjoyable experience.
Choice
In Franklin Township, NJ, during the Choice period, campers have the flexibility to choose an activity for the week from a rotating list. Each week, campers can opt for a new activity from a diverse selection that spans both athletic and creative pursuits. In addition to these choices, Senior campers have the unique opportunity to participate in our annual Drama Production or join the special Dance routine, collectively referred to as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the show.
Social Development
