Notable summer highlights for seniors at Oak Crest encompass ‘Late Nights,’ an exclusive program that extends camp hours to offer a special dinner, additional swim time, extra games, unique events, and a twilight campfire complete with S’mores.
Senior Athletics

Each week, their schedules feature sports such as Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. These activities are facilitated by experienced Athletic Specialists, who provide skill instruction followed by gameplay to reinforce newly acquired abilities. Oak Crest counselors actively engage with campers, collaborating with specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success. Furthermore, Senior Boys and Girls at Oak Crest integrate League Play into their schedules, engaging in friendly competitions that encompass Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. The activities and opponents rotate each week, ensuring an engaging and dynamic sports experience.
Creative Arts

Furthermore, our Senior Girl groups take center stage with a dance performance in our annual Showcrest, a significant Dance and Drama Production. Learn to Swim
In North Brunswick, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a cornerstone of the Oak Crest experience, making use of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Senior campers have access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, which boasts eight 25m lanes. Each morning, seniors participate in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with support from group counselors. Our swim lessons are skill-based, tailored to individual proficiency rather than age, allowing us to challenge swimmers at various levels. We annually train and certify our own instructors, drawing upon over 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers return to the pools for Free Swim.
Ropes Courses
In North Brunswick, NJ, our senior campers engage in weekly adventures at the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course, offering thrilling experiences. The Climbing Tower boasts two unique rock walls, a 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and the exhilarating Giant Swing. Meanwhile, the High Ropes course includes additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course. Safety is our top priority, and to ensure it, our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification by the company responsible for their construction before each season. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who guide the groups through all the courses, conduct daily safety checks to provide a secure and enjoyable experience.
Choice

Each week, campers have the chance to choose a new activity from a diverse list that spans both athletic and creative pursuits. Additionally, seniors have the unique opportunity to be part of our annual Drama Production or participate in a special Dance routine, collectively referred to as Showcrest. The senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the show.
Social Development
