Seniors (5th & 6th Graders) Summer Camp near Piscataway

Seniors have the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of activities, including more advanced options. Notable summer events for seniors comprise ‘Late Nights,’ which extend camp access for an exclusive dinner, extra swim time, additional games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire with S’mores.
Senior Athletics
In Piscataway, NJ, our senior campers actively participate in a wide range of athletic activities on our full-sized fields. Each week’s schedule encompasses sports such as Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. Our team of Athletic Specialists leads each session, providing skill instruction followed by gameplay to reinforce newly acquired skills. Moreover, Senior Boys and Girls integrate League Play into their schedules, involving friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball, with rotating activities and opponents on a weekly basis.
Creative Arts

Weekly sessions encompass Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more.
In addition, all Senior Girl groups participate in a significant annual event called Showcrest, which combines dance and drama productions. This impressive showcase typically occurs during the 6th week of camp at a local venue, featuring professional sound and lighting to create a truly impactful experience.
Learn to Swim
In Piscataway, NJ, Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program is a fundamental component of our camp experience, conducted in a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Seniors enjoy access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, which features eight 25m lanes.
Each morning, Senior campers participate in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with guidance from group counselors. Our swim lessons are skill-based, not age-dependent, allowing us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. We annually train and certify our own instructors, drawing upon more than 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, Senior Campers have the opportunity for Free Swim in the pool.
Ropes Courses
In Piscataway, NJ, our Senior campers engage in weekly sessions at the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course, offering exciting challenges and adventure. The Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a thrilling 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and an exhilarating Giant Swing. The High Ropes course includes additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course.
Ensuring safety is paramount to us, and our ropes courses undergo thorough inspection and certification by the company responsible for their construction before each season. Choice

Each week, campers can choose a new activity from a diverse list that encompasses both athletic and creative pursuits. Furthermore, Senior campers have the special privilege to partake in our annual Drama Production or join the unique Dance routine, collectively referred to as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the event.
Social Development
