Seniors (5th & 6th Graders) Summer Camp near Woodbridge
Woodbridge, NJ’s senior campers at Oak Crest have the privilege of experiencing a wide array of activities, which includes thrilling day trips like the highly anticipated visit to Dorney Park. They have the opportunity to engage in a comprehensive selection of activities, including more advanced options. Seniors can look forward to standout summer events such as Late Nights, offering extended camp access for an exclusive dinner, additional swim time, extra games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire featuring S’mores.
Senior Athletics
At our Woodbridge, NJ location, senior campers immerse themselves in a diverse spectrum of athletic activities on our full-sized fields. Weekly schedules are packed with sports like Soccer, Football, Tennis, Lacrosse, Archery, Basketball, Hockey, BMX, Skateboarding, and more. Our team of Athletic Specialists leads each session, providing skill instruction and facilitating gameplay to reinforce newly acquired abilities. Oak Crest counselors actively engage with campers, working alongside specialists to create meaningful opportunities for success. Furthermore, Senior Boys and Girls integrate League Play into their schedules, featuring friendly competitions in Soccer, Handball, Football, and Dodgeball. Activities and opponents rotate each week, enhancing the overall experience.
Creative Arts
In Woodbridge, NJ, your child will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of artistic activities within comfortable, air-conditioned classrooms, all under the guidance of experienced art instructors. Our weekly sessions encompass a range of options, including Ceramics, Music, Mad Science, Cooking, Drama, Nature, Camper vs. Wild, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, Computers, and more. Furthermore, all Senior Girl groups take center stage as they showcase their dance routines in our annual Showcrest, a significant Dance and Drama Production. Traditionally held during the 6th week of camp at a local venue, this event boasts professional sound and lighting to create a truly impactful experience.
Learn to Swim
Oak Crest’s Learn to Swim Program in Woodbridge, NJ, serves as a fundamental component of the Oak Crest experience, making use of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility. Senior campers have access to the impressive Gigantic Pool, equipped with eight 25-meter lanes. Every morning, seniors engage in a 40-minute swim lesson led by certified swim instructors, with additional support from group counselors. Our swim lessons prioritize skill development rather than being solely age-dependent, allowing us to challenge swimmers at various proficiency levels. We annually train and certify our instructors, drawing upon more than 25 years of practical experience in teaching children how to swim. In the afternoons, senior campers return to the pools for Free Swim.
Ropes Courses
In Woodbridge, NJ, senior campers are provided with weekly opportunities to participate in the Climbing Tower and High Ropes course, delivering thrilling outdoor adventures. The Climbing Tower boasts two distinct rock walls, a 200-yard Zipline, a Giant Cargo Net, Jacob’s Ladder, and the Giant Swing. The High Ropes course extends the excitement with additional rock walls, mid-air challenges, and a state-of-the-art High Ropes Confidence Course. Safety is our utmost priority. Prior to each season, our ropes courses undergo rigorous inspection and certification by the company responsible for their construction. Furthermore, our certified ropes instructors, who guide campers through all courses, conduct daily safety checks to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.
Choice
In Woodbridge, NJ, our Choice period allows campers to tailor their weekly activities by choosing from a rotating list of options. Every week, campers have the flexibility to select a new activity from a diverse list that spans both athletic and creative pursuits. In addition to these choices, seniors can also engage in our annual Drama Production or participate in the special Dance routine, collectively referred to as Showcrest. The Senior performances in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine as standout highlights of the show.
Social Development
