3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)

Oak Crest offers two flexible programs for 3 to 5-year-olds in our Munchkin Division: a 5 full-day option and a 3 full-day option. We maintain a low camper-to-staff ratio, ensuring that each child receives personalized attention. In each group, there are 10 to 12 campers supervised by 3 to 4 staff members, which prioritizes safety and provides a nurturing environment.

A key focus of the Munchkin Program is teaching children to swim. We are dedicated to helping children become comfortable and proficient in the water. Our program also emphasizes the development of gross and fine motor skills through a variety of athletic and creative activities. These activities are led by specially trained Munchkin Specialists who ensure that the experience is age-appropriate and enriching for each child.

Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)

Explorers, much like our younger campers, actively participate in a diverse range of athletic and creative activities that contribute to their physical and mental development. They also receive focused attention on improving their swimming abilities, alongside the cultivation of their social and emotional intelligence.

As campers progress to the first grade, exciting adventures await as they are introduced to challenging activities such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, and Giant Swing, in addition to engaging in GAGA, a popular camp game. This exposure to thrilling experiences not only adds excitement to their summer but also aids in their physical and personal growth.

By the time campers reach the second grade, we offer them CHOICE periods, allowing them to select their preferred activities on a weekly basis. This customization ensures that each child has a personalized experience at camp, catering to their unique interests and passions, which is a great way for them to further develop their skills and interests during the summer.

Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)

Senior Late Nights are another highlight for these campers. During these extended camp sessions, they enjoy a special dinner, extra swim time, fun games, and a unique event that adds to the fun and camaraderie of the camp experience. Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)

In addition to the numerous athletic and creative activities on offer, Senior campers also have the chance to be part of our annual Drama Production or take part in a special Dance routine. These productions are collectively known as Showcrest and are a highlight of our camp’s annual calendar.

The Senior campers who participate in the Drama and Dance productions consistently deliver standout performances, adding a significant and memorable element to the shows. Their involvement brings an extra layer of excitement and talent to these productions, making them a cherished part of the camp experience.

We are dedicated to creating a nurturing and safe environment where children and young teenagers can cultivate essential emotional and social skills. Our commitment to this ensures that campers not only have fun but also grow into responsible and well-rounded individuals who can positively contribute to society.

LIT Program (10th & 11th Graders)

The LIT (Leadership in Training) Experience is a unique opportunity for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders to actively develop their leadership skills in a dynamic setting. The primary goal is to enrich the camp experience for younger campers through the involvement of these older participants.

During the program, LITs concentrate on key areas such as problem-solving, role modeling, and teamwork. These are essential skills that not only enhance their own personal growth but also have a positive impact on the camp community as a whole.

The program places a strong emphasis on cultivating a sense of responsibility among LITs. This prepares them for future success in both their academic pursuits, such as college, and their future careers. Additionally, it equips them with the skills and qualities needed to potentially excel as outstanding camp staff in the future, fostering a sense of continuity and mentorship within our camp community.
