3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)
In our Munchkin Division at Oak Crest, we provide tailored programs for 3 to 5-year-olds residing in or around the 07060 area. These programs include a 5 full-day option and a 3 full-day option, ensuring flexibility for parents in our community. What sets Oak Crest apart is our commitment to maintaining a low camper-to-staff ratio, guaranteeing personalized attention and a safe, nurturing environment for your child.
Within our Munchkin Program, we place a strong emphasis on swimming. Our goal is to instill comfort and proficiency in the water, recognizing the importance of this life skill. We have dedicated Munchkin Specialists who are specially trained to guide your child’s swimming journey, making it an age-appropriate and enriching experience.
But it’s not just about swimming. Our program is designed to enhance both gross and fine motor skills through a variety of athletic and creative activities. Each group consists of 10 to 12 campers, supported by 3 to 4 staff members who prioritize safety and your child’s development.

Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)
Similar to our Munchkin program, our Explorers program is designed to provide engaging athletic and creative activities that not only promote physical development but also foster social and emotional intelligence. For children entering first grade, we introduce them to exciting activities such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA, adding an element of adventure and thrill to their camp experience.
As campers progress to second grade, we offer a unique feature called CHOICE periods. This empowers them to select their preferred activities on a weekly basis, allowing for a more personalized and tailored experience. This approach recognizes the diverse interests and talents of our campers, giving them the opportunity to explore and engage in the activities that resonate most with them.
Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)
In the Junior program at Oak Crest, children from the 07060 area are immersed in a diverse array of activities that encompass both sports and creative pursuits. These activities include Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild.
The program is designed to offer a well-rounded experience, combining athletic challenges and creative outlets. It includes dedicated time for Instructional Swim, allowing children to further develop their swimming skills, and provides access to the Climbing Tower, which adds an exciting element of adventure to their camp days.
Moreover, Juniors get to enjoy special Late Nights at camp, which extend their access to the camp facilities. During these Late Nights, they partake in a unique dinner experience, additional swim time, engaging games, a special event that adds an extra layer of excitement to their camp experience, and a twilight campfire complete with delicious S’mores. This combination of activities and events ensures that Juniors have a memorable and enriching summer at Oak Crest.
Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)
Our Senior campers at Oak Crest are in for an action-packed summer experience, and if you’re a parent residing near 07060 , this is what you can expect for your child:

Beyond the array of athletic and creative activities, Senior campers have additional exciting options. They can actively participate in our annual Drama Production or join in our special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. It’s worth noting that the Senior campers’ involvement in both Drama and Dance productions consistently serves as the highlight of these shows. This showcases their talent and enthusiasm, making their participation in these events a cherished part of the camp experience.
Social Development
