3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)
Oak Crest’s Munchkin Division offers two program options, a 5 full-day and a 3 full-day program, tailored for children aged 3 to 5 years. The division maintains a low camper-to-staff ratio, ensuring individualized attention with groups consisting of 10 to 12 campers supervised by 3 to 4 staff members, with a primary focus on safety and attentive care.
A central component of the Munchkin Program is a strong emphasis on swimming. The program is dedicated to building water confidence and proficiency, fostering aquatic skills development. Additionally, it enhances both gross and fine motor skills through a range of athletic and creative activities thoughtfully curated by specially trained Munchkin Specialists. These activities are designed to provide a developmentally appropriate and enriching experience for young campers.
Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)
Explorers, similar to Munchkins, participate in athletic and creative pursuits, improve their swimming abilities, and cultivate social and emotional intelligence. First graders are introduced to challenging activities like the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA. Second graders have the opportunity to choose their preferred activities on a weekly basis during CHOICE periods, allowing for a personalized camp experience.
Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)
Oak Crest’s Junior program near 07095 encompasses an array of activities, such as Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild. The program combines athletic and creative pursuits, offering Instructional Swim and access to the Climbing Tower. Juniors also relish Late Nights, providing extended camp access, a special dinner, additional swim time, games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire with S’mores.
Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)
Senior campers at Oak Crest, situated near 07095, partake in the full spectrum of camp activities, including thrilling day trips to destinations like Dorney Park. Additionally, they have access to an extensive range of advanced Choice options. Senior Late Nights provide them with extended camp hours, a special dinner, extra swim time, engaging games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire with S’mores.
Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)
During Choice, campers have the opportunity to choose an activity they want to engage in for the week. Each week, our campers can make a fresh selection from a regularly updated list of activities. Beyond the diverse array of athletic and creative options, seniors can also opt to take part in our annual Drama Production or join our special Dance routine, collectively referred to as Showcrest. The involvement of seniors in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently stands out as a highlight of the show.
Social Development
LIT Program (10th & 11th Graders)
The LIT (Leadership-in-Training) Experience entails a practical leadership skill development program within a dynamic environment, with the primary objective of enriching the camp experience for younger attendees. Open to 9th, 10th, and 11th graders, this initiative emphasizes problem-solving, role modeling, and teamwork. It places a strong emphasis on fostering responsibility, with the ultimate goal of preparing LITs for future success in both their college endeavors and future careers, as well as potential roles as outstanding camp staff members.
