Oak Crest Day Camp, situated in the 07690 area of New Jersey, is a premier summer destination tailored to children between the ages of 3 and 15. This renowned camp stands out for its exceptional convenience, offering door-to-door transportation, making it the ideal choice for busy parents.
At Oak Crest, each day brings a new adventure with a wide array of activities designed to captivate and inspire children of all age groups. Younger campers can engage in swimming, bicycling, rock climbing, and arts and crafts, ensuring a summer filled with both enjoyment and educational experiences.
As children mature, they can partake in specialized programs, including day trips and overnight excursions, perfect for those seeking adventure and fostering independence. These activities are not solely for amusement; they are designed to instill lifelong skills. 3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)
Oak Crest provides two program options for 3 to 5-year-olds in our Munchkin Division: a 5 full-day and a 3 full-day program, maintaining a low camper-to-staff ratio to ensure individualized attention. Each group consists of 10 to 12 campers and is supervised by 3 to 4 staff members, with a strong emphasis on safety and nurturing care.
Our Munchkin Program places a significant focus on swimming, aiming to foster comfort and proficiency in the water. Moreover, it promotes the development of both gross and fine motor skills through a variety of athletic and creative activities. These activities are led by specially trained Munchkin Specialists, ensuring an age-appropriate and enriching experience for our young campers.
Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)
In a similar vein to the Munchkin program, our Explorers program offers a blend of athletic and creative pursuits, fosters swimming proficiency, and nurtures social and emotional intelligence. First graders are introduced to exciting activities such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA. Upon entering the second grade, campers have the opportunity to partake in CHOICE periods, allowing them to select preferred activities on a weekly basis, tailoring their camp experience to their individual preferences.
Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)
Senior campers at Oak Crest engage in a comprehensive program that includes all camp activities, a selection of stimulating day trips, such as visits to Dorney Park, and access to an extensive range of advanced Choice offerings. They also have the opportunity to partake in Senior Late Nights, which entail extended camp hours, a special dinner, extra swim time, interactive games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire complete with S’mores for a well-rounded camp experience.
Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)
Choice periods at Oak Crest allow campers to choose a specific activity for a weekly session, offering them the opportunity to explore a diverse array of options. Every week, campers can make a fresh selection from a dynamic list of activities, which includes both athletic and creative pursuits. For Senior campers, there is also the option to play a role in our annual Drama Production or participate in a special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The Senior participants in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently contribute to the highlights of the show.
Social Development
LIT Program (10th & 11th Graders)
The LIT Experience is designed for 9th, 10th, or 11th-grade campers and offers practical leadership skill development within a dynamic environment. Participants concentrate on honing problem-solving abilities, setting positive examples, and working effectively as a team. This program underscores the importance of responsibility, with the objective of preparing LITs not only for future academic and professional success but also for potential roles as outstanding camp staff members.
