Summer Camp near 07978

3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)

Oak Crest Day Camp near the 07978 area provides two specialized programs for 3 to 5-year-olds in our Munchkin Division: a 5 full-day program and a 3 full-day program. These programs are designed with a low camper-to-staff ratio to ensure personalized attention, with each group consisting of 10 to 12 campers and 3 to 4 staff members. The primary focus here is on safety and nurturing care, ensuring that every child’s needs are met.

One of the key priorities of the Munchkin Program is teaching children to swim. The program is committed to building their comfort and proficiency in the water. This essential life skill is cultivated through dedicated efforts. Moreover, the Munchkin Program goes beyond swimming by offering a variety of athletic and creative activities. These activities are led by specially trained Munchkin Specialists who provide age-appropriate and enriching experiences. In addition to learning to swim, these activities also help enhance gross and fine motor skills, fostering all-around development in a supportive and engaging environment.

Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)

For parents residing near 07978, our Explorers program offers an exciting and enriching experience for children. Similar to the Munchkin program, Explorers also engage in a variety of athletic and creative activities, with a strong emphasis on enhancing swimming skills. Additionally, the program is designed to foster the development of social and emotional intelligence in young campers.

In the first grade, campers are introduced to thrilling activities such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA. These experiences are carefully designed to provide adventure and excitement while ensuring safety.

As campers progress to the second grade, they have the opportunity to enjoy CHOICE periods, where they can select their preferred activities on a weekly basis. Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)

These activities include Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild. Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)

Senior Late Nights are a highlight for these campers. During these special evenings, they get extended camp time, enjoy a unique dinner, have additional swim time, play games, experience a one-of-a-kind event, and gather around a campfire at twilight for S’mores. Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)

For parents in the 07978 area, we offer a unique opportunity for campers called “Choice.” During Choice, campers have the freedom to pick an activity for the week, allowing them to explore their interests and passions. What’s great is that each week, campers can choose a new activity from a rotating list of options.

Our list of activities includes a diverse range of athletic and creative pursuits, ensuring that campers have plenty of exciting choices. But it doesn’t stop there. Seniors also have the option to play a role in our annual Drama Production or be part of our special Dance routine, collectively known as “Showcrest.” These productions are a highlight of our camp experience, and the participation of Senior campers adds a special dimension to both the Drama and Dance performances, making them standout moments in our camp’s annual calendar.

Social Development
