3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)
Oak Crest provides two program options for 3 to 5-year-olds in our Munchkin Division: a 5 full-day program and a 3 full-day program. We maintain a low camper-to-staff ratio, with each group consisting of 10 to 12 campers and 3 to 4 staff members, ensuring personalized attention and a focus on safety and nurturing care.
One of the key highlights of our Munchkin Program is its emphasis on swimming. We prioritize helping young campers build comfort and proficiency in the water. Our specially trained Munchkin Specialists lead this effort to ensure an age-appropriate and enriching swimming experience. In addition to swimming, our program also focuses on enhancing gross and fine motor skills through a variety of athletic and creative activities. These activities are thoughtfully designed to contribute to the overall development of your child, making their time at Oak Crest both enjoyable and educational.
Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)
Explorers, just like our Munchkins, participate in a range of athletic and creative activities that not only keep them active but also help them develop essential swimming skills and strengthen their social and emotional intelligence.
For first graders, we introduce exciting challenges such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA, providing them with thrilling and adventurous experiences that build confidence and physical abilities.
As our campers progress to the second grade, they have the opportunity to enjoy CHOICE periods, where they can select their preferred activities on a weekly basis. This personalized approach ensures that each child has a unique and tailored camp experience, allowing them to explore their interests and further develop their skills and passions.
Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)
Juniors at Oak Crest participate in a diverse array of activities that encompass both sports and creative pursuits. These activities include Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild. In addition to these exciting options, their program offers a mix of athletic and creative activities, ensuring a well-rounded experience.
Instructional Swim is an integral part of their daily routine, helping juniors build their swimming skills and water confidence. They also have access to the Climbing Tower, where they can test their climbing abilities and conquer new challenges.
One of the highlights for juniors is the opportunity to enjoy Late Nights, which extend their camp experience into the evening. During Late Nights, they get to savor a special dinner, indulge in extra swim time and engaging games, participate in a unique event, and cap off the night with a twilight campfire where they can enjoy delicious S’mores. These special occasions add an extra layer of excitement and camaraderie to their Oak Crest experience.
Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)
Senior campers at Oak Crest have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in a rich camp experience. They not only partake in all the camp activities but also get to embark on thrilling day trips to places like Dorney Park, adding an extra layer of excitement to their summer.
Furthermore, senior campers have access to a wide range of advanced Choice offerings, allowing them to explore their interests and passions in a personalized way. This enables them to dive deeper into activities they love or try out new ones, fostering personal growth and skill development.
Senior Late Nights are a special highlight for these campers. These extended camp sessions offer a unique chance to enjoy a special dinner, extra swim time, engaging games, and one-of-a-kind events. The evening culminates with a twilight campfire where they can savor the deliciousness of S’mores, creating lasting memories and fostering camaraderie among their fellow campers.
Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)
Parents residing in the 08550 area can take advantage of the Choice program, where campers have the opportunity to choose an activity for each week. The diverse selection of activities is constantly updated, ensuring campers can explore new options regularly. Apart from the array of athletic and creative pursuits, Seniors have the unique chance to engage in our annual Drama Production or join the special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The participation of Seniors in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently stands out as a highlight, adding an extra layer of excitement to the entire show.
Social Development
The LIT (Leaders-in-Training) Experience is a program designed to cultivate practical leadership skills within a dynamic camp setting. Open to 9th, 10th, and 11th graders, this initiative is centered around problem-solving, role modeling, and teamwork.
By participating in the LIT program, individuals are exposed to a significant emphasis on responsibility. This prepares them not only for their future endeavors in college and careers but also for potential roles as exemplary camp staff members. The goal is to equip LITs with the necessary skills and qualities to make a positive impact on the camp community and beyond, ensuring their personal growth and readiness for future challenges and opportunities.
