Oak Crest Day Camp, located near 08822 in New Jersey, is an esteemed summer haven designed for children aged 3 to 15. It stands out for its remarkable convenience, providing door-to-door transportation options for families, alleviating the logistical concerns of busy parents.
At Oak Crest, each day unfolds as an exciting adventure, featuring a wide array of engaging activities tailored to captivate children of all age groups. Younger participants can dive into activities like swimming, bicycling, rock climbing, and arts and crafts, ensuring a summer brimming with enjoyment and educational experiences.
As children mature, they have the opportunity to engage in specialized programs, including day trips and overnight excursions, ideal for those seeking adventure and fostering independence. These activities transcend mere enjoyment; they foster lifelong skills. Whether it’s mastering swimming, cycling proficiency, or honing social, teamwork, and leadership abilities, Oak Crest offers a supportive and dynamic environment for growth.

3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)
Oak Crest provides two program options, a 5 full-day and a 3 full-day program, tailored for children aged 3 to 5 in our Munchkin Division. These programs maintain a low camper-to-staff ratio, ensuring personalized attention with each group comprising 10 to 12 campers and 3 to 4 staff members, emphasizing safety and attentive care.
Our Munchkin Program places a strong emphasis on swimming, aiming to develop water comfort and proficiency. Furthermore, the program fosters the refinement of gross and fine motor skills through a variety of athletic and creative activities, all overseen by specially trained Munchkin Specialists who ensure an age-appropriate and enriching experience.
Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)
Explorers, akin to Munchkins, participate in a range of athletic and creative endeavors while also focusing on improving swimming abilities and nurturing social and emotional intelligence. First graders are introduced to adventure activities such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA. In the second grade, campers have the opportunity to choose their preferred activities on a weekly basis during CHOICE periods, allowing for a personalized and engaging experience.
Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)
Oak Crest’s Senior campers near 08822 fully immerse themselves in a wide spectrum of activities, including numerous exhilarating day trips to destinations like Dorney Park. They also have access to a diverse selection of advanced Choice offerings.
Additionally, Senior campers partake in the Senior Late Nights program, which extends their camp experience. This program includes a special dinner, extra swim time, engaging games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire complete with S’mores.
Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)
During the Choice period, campers have the opportunity to pick an activity for the week, and this selection can change weekly from a dynamic list of activities. Beyond the array of athletic and creative options, Senior campers can also opt to take part in our yearly Drama Production or engage in our special Dance routine. Our annual Dance and Drama Production, known as Showcrest, consistently features the Senior campers as the standout performers in both these productions.
Social Development
At Oak Crest near 08822, camp counselors guide groups in team-building challenges and competitions to cultivate qualities such as teamwork, support, and effective communication. This structured approach fosters respect among campers and encourages the formation of enduring friendships. Oak Crest upholds a strict anti-bullying policy and is dedicated to cultivating a nurturing atmosphere that helps children and young adolescents develop crucial emotional and social skills.
LIT Program (10th & 11th Graders)
The LIT Experience, designed for 9th, 10th, or 11th graders near 08822, provides practical leadership skill development in a dynamic environment. Participants engage in activities centered on problem-solving, role modeling, and teamwork. This program places a strong emphasis on fostering responsibility, with the goal of preparing LITs for future achievements in college and careers, including potential roles as outstanding camp staff members.
