3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)
At Oak Crest, our Munchkin Division offers both 5 full-day and 3 full-day programs tailored for children aged 3 to 5 in 08863, NJ. We maintain a low camper-to-staff ratio, with groups consisting of 10 to 12 campers supervised by 3 to 4 staff members, ensuring personalized attention and safety.
Our Munchkin Program places a strong emphasis on swimming, with a dedicated focus on developing water comfort and proficiency. Additionally, this program promotes the enhancement of gross and fine motor skills through a variety of athletic and creative activities. These activities are led by specially trained Munchkin Specialists who provide age-appropriate and enriching experiences for our young campers.
Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)
In 08863, our Explorers program offers a well-rounded experience, similar to the Munchkin program. It includes athletic and creative activities, focuses on improving swimming skills, and encourages the development of social and emotional intelligence. For first graders, we introduce exciting elements such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA. In the second grade, campers have the opportunity to participate in CHOICE periods, allowing them to select their preferred activities on a weekly basis for a personalized camp experience.
Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)
Located in 08863, Oak Crest’s Junior program offers a diverse array of activities, including Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild. The program encompasses athletic and creative pursuits, as well as Instructional Swim and access to the Climbing Tower. Juniors also partake in Late Nights, granting extended camp access, a special dinner, additional swim time, games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire featuring S’mores.
Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)
Senior campers in the 08863 area at Oak Crest partake in a comprehensive program that includes standard camp activities, engaging day trips to places like Dorney Park, and a diverse selection of advanced Choice options. Additionally, they take part in Senior Late Nights, which extend their camp experience, featuring a special dinner, extra swim time, games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire complete with S’mores.
Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)
Within the camp program, Choice allows campers to choose a weekly activity of their preference. The selection can change each week, offering a dynamic range of options. In addition to numerous athletic and creative activities, Senior campers have the opportunity to take part in our annual Drama Production or join our special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The Senior participants in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently deliver standout performances.
Social Development
At Oak Crest in 08863, our camp counselors guide groups through structured team-building challenges and competitions, emphasizing the development of teamwork, support, and effective communication. LIT Program (10th & 11th Graders)
The LIT Experience, available for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders in 08863, provides a practical platform for the development of leadership skills within the camp environment. This program places a strong emphasis on fostering responsibility, with the goal of preparing LITs for future achievements in higher education, careers, and potential roles as outstanding camp staff members.
