Summer Camp near 08890

Oak Crest Day Camp, located near 08890 in NJ, is a highly regarded summer camp for children aged 3 to 15. 3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)

Oak Crest’s Munchkin Division, designed for 3 to 5-year-olds near 08890, offers both 5 full-day and 3 full-day programs. Our emphasis on maintaining a low camper-to-staff ratio ensures that every child receives personalized attention. In each group, there are 10 to 12 campers with 3 to 4 staff members, prioritizing safety and providing nurturing care.

One of the core focuses of the Munchkin Program is swimming. We are dedicated to helping children become comfortable and proficient in the water. Our specially trained Munchkin Specialists lead activities that not only enhance swimming skills but also develop gross and fine motor skills. These activities include various athletic and creative pursuits, all tailored to provide an age-appropriate and enriching experience for your child.

Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)

Explorers, just like Munchkins, participate in a wide range of athletic and creative activities that not only enhance their swimming skills but also contribute to the development of their social and emotional intelligence.

In the first grade, campers are introduced to exciting activities like the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA, providing them with opportunities for physical challenges and outdoor fun.

As they progress to the second grade, campers have the chance to customize their camp experience through CHOICE periods. Each week, they can select their preferred activities, allowing for a personalized and diverse range of experiences.

Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)

In Oak Crest’s Junior program, children from the 08890 area near 08890 participate in a diverse set of activities, such as Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild. This program is thoughtfully designed to encompass a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, offering a well-rounded experience for your child.

Additionally, Juniors benefit from Instructional Swim sessions and access to the Climbing Tower, further enhancing their skill set and outdoor adventures. They also get to enjoy special Late Nights at camp, which includes extended camp access, a special dinner, extra swim time, engaging games, a unique event, and a memorable twilight campfire complete with S’mores. These experiences contribute to a fun and enriching summer at Oak Crest for your child.

Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)

Senior campers from the 08890 area near 08890 who attend Oak Crest experience a comprehensive summer program that includes all camp activities, a series of thrilling day trips to places like Dorney Park, and a diverse range of advanced Choice options tailored to their interests and preferences.

In addition to these engaging experiences, Senior campers get to partake in Senior Late Nights, which extend their time at camp and provide special moments like a unique dinner, extra swim sessions, exciting games, a distinctive event, and a memorable twilight campfire complete with S’mores. This program ensures that Senior campers have a well-rounded and enjoyable summer filled with a variety of activities and memorable moments.

Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)

At Oak Crest, our campers in the 08890 area and beyond have the opportunity to make personalized choices during the Choice periods. Each week, they can select a new activity from a dynamic list of options that cover a wide spectrum of athletic and creative pursuits.

For our Senior campers, the choices expand to include involvement in our annual Drama Production or participation in our special Dance routine, which collectively make up our renowned event known as Showcrest. The Senior campers who take part in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently shine and are a highlight of the show. This allows campers to explore their interests, showcase their talents, and be a vital part of our camp’s vibrant artistic community.

Social Development

LIT participants engage in a comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes key skills such as problem-solving, effective role modeling, and collaborative teamwork. A central focus of the program is instilling a sense of responsibility in the LITs, with the goal of preparing them for future success in college and their careers.
