Summer Camp near 08901

Oak Crest Day Camp, located near 08901, NJ, is the perfect summer destination for children aged 3 to 15. 3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)

Oak Crest offers specialized programs for 3 to 5-year-olds in our Munchkin Division, providing attentive and personalized care with a low camper-to-staff ratio. Each group consists of 10 to 12 campers and is supervised by 3 to 4 staff members, ensuring a strong focus on safety and nurturing support.

One of the key highlights of the Munchkin Program is its emphasis on swimming. We understand the importance of water safety and aim to foster comfort and proficiency in the water for young campers. Our Munchkin Specialists, specially trained for this age group, oversee swimming activities and other athletic and creative endeavors. These activities not only promote swimming skills but also enhance gross and fine motor skills, providing an age-appropriate and enriching experience for our youngest campers.

Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)

Explorers, just like our Munchkin campers, actively participate in a variety of athletic and creative activities that help them improve their swimming abilities and foster important social and emotional intelligence.

For our first graders, we introduce exciting elements such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA into their camp experience. These thrilling activities provide them with opportunities for adventure and skill development.

As campers progress to the second grade, they have the chance to personalize their experiences with CHOICE periods. This means they get to select their preferred activities on a weekly basis. This approach not only keeps their camp experience fresh and engaging but also allows them to explore their interests and develop their passions during their time at Oak Crest.

1st and 2nd grade Summer Camp near 08901

Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)

For Juniors at Oak Crest, their camp experience is packed with a diverse array of activities to keep them engaged and entertained. These activities include Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild.

In addition to these exciting pursuits, the Junior program offers a balanced mix of athletic and creative activities. They also receive Instructional Swim sessions to improve their swimming skills and gain access to the Climbing Tower for thrilling adventures.

What sets Juniors apart is their opportunity to enjoy Late Nights at camp, where they have extended access to the camp facilities. During these special evenings, they partake in a variety of activities, including a special dinner, extra swim time, games, and unique events. The night culminates with a memorable twilight campfire where they get to savor delicious S’mores. It’s a time for building lasting memories and forming bonds with fellow campers.

Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)

Senior campers at Oak Crest are in for an enriching and thrilling camp experience. They have access to all the camp activities, ensuring a well-rounded and engaging summer.

What makes the Senior program even more exciting are the multiple day trips, including visits to popular destinations like Dorney Park. These trips add an extra dimension of adventure and exploration to their camp journey.

In addition to the core activities, Senior campers have the opportunity to choose from a wide array of advanced Choice offerings. This allows them to tailor their camp experience to their interests and preferences, fostering personal growth and skill development.

Senior Late Nights provide a unique and memorable aspect of the program. During these special evenings, campers enjoy extended camp time, savor a special dinner, engage in additional swim sessions, partake in games and unique events, and end the night around a campfire with delicious S’mores. It’s a time for building camaraderie and making cherished memories with their fellow campers.

5th and 6th grade Summer Camp near 08901

Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)

At Oak Crest, we offer a unique program called “Choice” that allows our campers to pick an activity they want to participate in for a week. The best part is that each week, they can choose a different activity from our ever-changing list.

In addition to the wide range of athletic and creative activities available, our Senior campers have the exciting option to be part of our annual Drama Production or take part in a special Dance routine. These performances are collectively known as “Showcrest,” and it’s a highlight of our camp’s annual calendar. The Senior campers’ involvement in both the Drama and Dance productions always stands out and adds a special touch to the show, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Social Development

At Oak Crest, our camp counselors play a pivotal role in guiding our campers through a series of team-building challenges and competitions. These activities are carefully designed to cultivate important qualities such as teamwork, support, and effective communication.
