3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)
Oak Crest presents specialized programs for 3 to 5-year-olds in the Munchkin Division, featuring both 5 full-day and 3 full-day options. This division maintains a deliberately low camper-to-staff ratio to ensure personalized attention, with groups consisting of 10 to 12 campers supervised by 3 to 4 staff members. The emphasis is on creating a safe and nurturing environment for the young campers.
One of the key focuses of the Munchkin Program is the “Learn to Swim” initiative. This program is dedicated to fostering a sense of comfort and proficiency in the water for the young participants. With a strong commitment to safety, specially trained Munchkin Specialists lead the way in providing age-appropriate and enriching experiences.
Beyond swimming, the Munchkin Program aims to enhance both gross and fine motor skills. Through a variety of athletic and creative activities, children are engaged in experiences that not only promote physical development but also contribute to their overall growth. The carefully curated activities are designed to be both enjoyable and beneficial, ensuring that each child receives a well-rounded and enriching experience during their time in the Munchkin Division.
Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)
Explorers, a group parallel to the Munchkins, actively participate in a well-rounded set of athletic and creative activities aimed at fostering the development of not just physical skills, but also social and emotional intelligence. For the first graders, the camp introduces exciting elements such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA. As campers progress to the second grade, Oak Crest introduces CHOICE periods, allowing them to select preferred activities on a weekly basis. Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)
Juniors at Oak Crest immerse themselves in a diverse array of activities, expanding their horizons with experiences like Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and the adventurous Camper vs. Wild. Their program is thoughtfully crafted to encompass both athletic and creative pursuits, ensuring a well-rounded developmental journey. The inclusion of Instructional Swim and access to the Climbing Tower adds an educational and thrilling dimension to their experience.
Late Nights for Juniors provide extended camp access, featuring a special dinner, additional swim time, engaging games, a unique event, and culminating in a twilight campfire complete with the quintessential S’mores. This not only extends the fun but also creates memorable moments for the campers, fostering a sense of camaraderie and excitement that goes beyond the typical camp day. Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)

Their experience is further enriched by a diverse selection of advanced Choice offerings, allowing them to tailor their weekly activities to align with their evolving interests and preferences. As part of the Senior Late Nights, campers are granted extended access to the camp facilities. This includes a special dinner, extra swim time, engaging games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire featuring the timeless delight of S’mores. Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)
In the Choice period, campers at Oak Crest have the opportunity to actively participate in an activity of their choosing for the week. Beyond the standard athletic and creative activities, Seniors at Oak Crest have the unique option to play a role in the annual Drama Production or be part of a special Dance routine. This annual extravaganza is aptly named Showcrest. The Senior contributions to both the Drama and Dance productions consistently stand out as the highlight of the entire show.
