3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)
For parents residing near Bridgewater, Oak Crest Day Camp offers specialized programs for children aged 3 to 5 in our Munchkin Division. Our focus is on providing quality care and personalized attention, maintaining a low camper-to-staff ratio with groups consisting of 10 to 12 campers and 3 to 4 staff members to ensure safety and nurturing.
In our Munchkin Program, we prioritize swimming as a crucial skill. We understand the importance of water safety and aim to build both comfort and proficiency in the water for our young campers. Our dedicated Munchkin Specialists are specially trained to lead various athletic and creative activities that not only improve swimming but also enhance gross and fine motor skills. This age-appropriate approach ensures that children receive an enriching experience that goes beyond just swimming, fostering their physical development and water confidence.
Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)
Similar to our Munchkin program, our Explorers program offers a variety of athletic and creative activities that not only improve swimming skills but also focus on developing social and emotional intelligence in young campers.
For first graders, we introduce exciting elements such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA, providing them with adventurous experiences while promoting physical activity and teamwork.
As campers progress to the second grade, they have the opportunity to enjoy CHOICE periods. During these sessions, they can select their preferred activities on a weekly basis, allowing for a personalized and engaging summer camp experience that aligns with their interests and passions.
Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)
In the Junior program at Oak Crest, kids have the opportunity to participate in a diverse array of activities that cater to their interests and promote physical and creative development. These activities include Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild.
The Junior program is designed to offer a well-rounded experience, incorporating both athletic and creative pursuits. In addition, it includes Instructional Swim and access to the Climbing Tower, providing a balanced mix of skill-building and adventure.
For added excitement, Juniors get to enjoy special Late Nights at the camp, extending their camp access beyond regular hours. These evenings include a special dinner, extra swim time, engaging games, a unique event, and a memorable twilight campfire complete with S’mores, creating lasting memories and fostering a sense of camaraderie among campers.
Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)
For Senior campers at Oak Crest, the summer experience is packed with a range of exciting opportunities. They have access to all camp activities, ensuring they can fully immerse themselves in the camp’s offerings.
Moreover, Senior campers get to embark on multiple thrilling day trips, including visits to places like Dorney Park, adding an extra layer of excitement and adventure to their summer.
In addition to these adventures, Seniors have a wide selection of advanced Choice offerings, allowing them to tailor their camp experience to their specific interests and preferences.
To top it off, Senior Late Nights are a highlight of their summer. These special evenings extend camp hours, treating campers to a unique dinner, extra swim time, engaging games, a one-of-a-kind event, and a memorable twilight campfire complete with S’mores. These Late Nights create cherished memories and foster a strong sense of community among the Senior campers.
Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)
At Oak Crest, we offer a unique program called Choice, where campers have the freedom to choose an activity to participate in for a specific period each week. What sets this program apart is that every week, campers have the opportunity to select a new activity from a dynamic and ever-changing list.
This goes beyond just athletic and creative activities; our Senior campers can also opt to take on roles in our annual Drama Production or participate in a special Dance routine. This annual event, known as Showcrest, is a highlight of our summer program. The Senior campers’ involvement in both the Drama and Dance productions consistently steals the show and is a source of immense pride and excitement for everyone involved.
Social Development
At Oak Crest, our camp counselors play a pivotal role in guiding campers through various team-building challenges and competitions. This hands-on approach not only encourages teamwork but also promotes essential skills like communication and mutual support.

LIT Program (10th & 11th Graders)
The LIT (Leaders-in-Training) Experience is a unique opportunity for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders at Oak Crest. It’s designed to provide them with practical, hands-on leadership skill development in a dynamic camp setting.
As participants, LITs concentrate on honing essential skills such as problem-solving, positive role modeling, and effective teamwork. These skills are not only valuable within the camp environment but also in their future endeavors, including college and careers.
Our program places a strong emphasis on fostering a sense of responsibility among LITs. We aim to equip them with the tools and mindset needed to succeed in their academic pursuits and future professional roles, including the potential to become exceptional camp staff members who can positively impact younger campers.
