Located near Flemington, New Jersey, Oak Crest Day Camp is a premier summer destination for children aged 3 to 15. We prioritize convenience, providing door-to-door transportation for families, offering a hassle-free choice for busy parents. Our camp offers a wide array of activities designed to engage and inspire children of all ages.
Younger campers can enjoy swimming, bicycling, rock climbing, and arts and crafts, ensuring a summer filled with both fun and learning. As children mature, they can take part in specialized programs such as day trips and overnight excursions, perfect for those seeking adventure and independence. These activities aren’t just about enjoyment; they are also focused on building lifelong skills.

3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)
At Oak Crest, we offer specialized programs for 3 to 5-year-olds in our Munchkin Division, providing a 5 full-day and a 3 full-day option. Our commitment to quality includes maintaining a low camper-to-staff ratio, with each group consisting of 10 to 12 campers and 3 to 4 staff members, ensuring personalized attention and a focus on safety and nurturing care.
One of the core focuses of our Munchkin Program is swimming. We prioritize building comfort and proficiency in the water, helping young children develop crucial swimming skills. Additionally, our program promotes the enhancement of gross and fine motor skills through various athletic and creative activities. These activities are led by specially trained Munchkin Specialists who are dedicated to providing an age-appropriate and enriching experience for your child.
Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)
Similar to the Munchkin program, our Explorers program also focuses on athletic and creative activities, improving swimming abilities, and fostering social and emotional intelligence. First graders get introduced to adventurous elements such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA. In the second grade, campers have the opportunity to participate in CHOICE periods, allowing them to select their preferred activities on a weekly basis for a more personalized camp experience.
Juniors (3rd & 4th Graders)
At Oak Crest in Flemington, our Junior program encompasses diverse activities such as Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild. This program includes a mix of athletic and creative pursuits, along with Instructional Swim and access to the Climbing Tower. Juniors also relish Late Nights, which provide extended camp access, a special dinner, additional swim and games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire featuring S’mores.
Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)
At Oak Crest near Flemington, our Senior campers fully engage in camp activities, including a selection of captivating day trips such as Dorney Park. They have access to a wide array of advanced Choice offerings tailored to their interests. Additionally, they partake in Senior Late Nights, which extend their camp experience, providing a special dinner, extra swim and games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire featuring S’mores.
Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)
During Choice sessions at our Flemington location, campers have the opportunity to pick an activity for the week’s designated period. They can opt for a new Choice each week, as our list of activities continually evolves. Beyond the array of athletic and creative options, Senior campers can also engage in our annual Drama Production or take part in a special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The Senior participants consistently shine as the highlights of both the Drama and Dance productions.
Social Development
At Oak Crest in Flemington, our camp counselors guide groups through a series of team-building challenges and competitions to nurture qualities like teamwork, mutual support, and effective communication. This structured setting actively encourages respect and the formation of enduring friendships. We uphold a strict zero-tolerance policy against bullying and are dedicated to cultivating a nurturing atmosphere where children and adolescents can cultivate vital emotional and social skills.
LIT Program (10th & 11th Graders)
The LIT (Leadership in Training) Experience in Flemington is designed for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders and provides practical leadership skill development within a dynamic environment, with the goal of enriching the camp experience for younger campers. Participants concentrate on honing problem-solving abilities, serving as positive role models, and fostering teamwork. This program places a strong emphasis on cultivating responsibility, equipping LITs with valuable skills for their future endeavors, whether in college, careers, or potential roles as exceptional camp staff members.
