3-5 Year Olds (Munchkins)

Oak Crest’s Munchkin Division offers two program options, a 5 full-day and a 3 full-day program, specifically designed for children aged 3 to 5. Our commitment to personalized attention is evident in our low camper-to-staff ratio, where each group consists of 10 to 12 campers and 3 to 4 dedicated staff members. This approach ensures a focus on safety and nurturing care for your child.

One of the primary focuses of our Munchkin Program is swimming. We understand the importance of water safety and proficiency. That’s why we prioritize swimming skills, making it a core component of our program. Our specially trained Munchkin Specialists are dedicated to helping children build comfort and proficiency in the water. In addition to swimming, we provide a variety of athletic and creative activities that enhance gross and fine motor skills. These activities are thoughtfully designed to be age-appropriate and enriching, ensuring that your child’s development is fostered in a fun and engaging environment.

3 5 Year Old Summer Camp Learn to Swim Near Franklin Park

Explorers (1st and 2nd Graders)

Our Explorers program shares some similarities with the Munchkin program, as both focus on athletic and creative activities. However, it’s important to note that Explorers also place a significant emphasis on swimming skills and the development of social and emotional intelligence.

In the first grade, Explorers get introduced to exciting activities like the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA. These activities not only provide a thrilling experience but also help build confidence and physical skills.

As campers progress to the second grade, they have the opportunity to personalize their camp experience through CHOICE periods. This means they can select their preferred activities on a weekly basis. Access to the Climbing Tower adds an adventurous dimension to their experience, fostering courage and physical agility.

One of the highlights for Juniors is the opportunity to participate in Late Nights. This extended camp access allows for extra swimming, games, and a special dinner, creating memorable evening experiences. These Late Nights also feature unique events that add to the sense of adventure and camaraderie among campers. To cap off these special evenings, Juniors gather around a twilight campfire to enjoy S’mores, strengthening bonds and creating lasting memories.

Seniors (5th & 6th Graders)

At Oak Crest, our Senior campers have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a wide range of engaging activities. They get to enjoy all the camp activities that younger campers do, ensuring a well-rounded summer experience.

In addition to the regular camp activities, Senior campers embark on thrilling day trips, including visits to places like Dorney Park, which adds an exciting and adventurous dimension to their summer. These trips provide a chance for our Seniors to explore new places and create lasting memories.

Furthermore, we offer a variety of advanced Choice offerings, allowing our Senior campers to personalize their experiences based on their interests and preferences. This flexibility ensures that each camper can pursue activities they are passionate about, fostering their individual growth and enthusiasm.

As part of our commitment to providing memorable experiences, Senior campers also get to participate in Senior Late Nights. These special evenings extend their camp time, offering extra opportunities for swimming and games. A special dinner and unique event add to the excitement and camaraderie. To top it all off, the night concludes with a twilight campfire featuring S’mores, creating moments of bonding and cherished memories among our Senior campers.

5th and 6th grade Summer Camp near Franklin Park

Teen Travel (7th, 8th, & 9th Graders)

Our campers have the chance to personalize their experience during Choice periods. Every week, they can choose a different activity from a dynamic list of options. These activities encompass a wide range of athletic and creative pursuits, allowing campers to explore their interests.

For our Senior campers, there are even more exciting options available. They can opt to participate in our annual Drama Production or take part in our special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest. The Senior contributions to both the Drama and Dance productions consistently stand out as the highlights of the show.

This flexibility in choice empowers our campers to engage in activities that align with their passions, fostering a sense of ownership and enthusiasm during their time at Oak Crest.

Social Development
