Oak Crest offers specialized programs for 3 to 5-year-olds in our Munchkin Division, emphasizing personalized attention with a low camper-to-staff ratio. Each group consists of 10 to 12 campers, supported by 3 to 4 staff members, ensuring safety and nurturing care.
One of our core focuses in the Munchkin Program is swimming. We prioritize building comfort and proficiency in the water, recognizing the importance of this skill. Moreover, our program goes beyond swimming and actively enhances gross and fine motor skills through a variety of athletic and creative activities. These activities are facilitated by specially trained Munchkin Specialists who ensure an age-appropriate and enriching experience for the young campers.
Explorers, similar to Munchkins, participate in a diverse range of activities that promote athleticism, creativity, swimming proficiency, and the development of social and emotional intelligence. First-grade campers are introduced to exciting elements like the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA, providing them with thrilling and memorable experiences. In the second grade, campers have the opportunity to choose their preferred activities during CHOICE periods on a weekly basis, allowing for personalized and enjoyable experiences.
The Junior program at Oak Crest is packed with diverse activities designed to keep campers engaged and active. These activities include Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild. Within this program, there’s a strong emphasis on both athletic and creative pursuits, providing campers with a well-rounded experience.
In addition to these exciting activities, Juniors benefit from Instructional Swim sessions and have access to the Climbing Tower. They also get to savor the fun of Late Nights, which extend their camp access and include special dinners, extra swim time, games, unique events, and the highlight of a twilight campfire complete with delicious S’mores. This program ensures that Juniors have a memorable and enjoyable time at Oak Crest.
Senior campers at Oak Crest have the opportunity to engage in a wide array of activities, including all the camp’s regular offerings. Moreover, they get to embark on thrilling day trips to places like Dorney Park, adding an extra layer of excitement to their summer experience.
In addition to these adventures, senior campers can explore advanced Choice offerings, allowing them to tailor their camp experience to their preferences and interests. These offerings provide an opportunity for personal growth and skill development.
Senior Late Nights are another exciting feature, offering extended camp hours that include a special dinner, extra swim time, engaging games, a unique event, and the perfect ending to the day – a twilight campfire with delectable S’mores. This combination of activities ensures that senior campers have an unforgettable and enriching time at Oak Crest.
Choice time at Oak Crest gives campers the freedom to choose an activity they’re interested in for a specific period each week. This means that every week, campers can explore a new activity from a dynamic and constantly evolving list. Beyond the range of athletic and creative pursuits available, Senior campers have the unique opportunity to participate in our annual Drama Production or be part of our special Dance routine, known as Showcrest!
Showcrest, our annual Dance and Drama Production, is a highlight of our camp’s performing arts program.
