Oak Crest offers two program options, a 5 full-day and a 3 full-day program, tailored for children aged 3 to 5 years old in the Munchkin Division. These programs maintain a low camper-to-staff ratio, typically accommodating 10 to 12 campers with 3 to 4 staff members per group, ensuring individualized attention, safety, and nurturing care.
Central to the Munchkin Program is a strong emphasis on swimming skills development. The program is dedicated to fostering comfort and proficiency in the water. In addition to swimming, it also focuses on enhancing both gross and fine motor skills through a variety of athletic and creative activities. These activities are led by specialized Munchkin Specialists who are trained to provide age-appropriate and enriching experiences for the children.
In a manner akin to the Munchkin program, Explorers also participate in a range of athletic and creative activities aimed at improving their swimming abilities and fostering social and emotional intelligence. As first graders, they are introduced to activities such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA. Second-grade campers have the opportunity to partake in CHOICE periods, enabling them to select their preferred activities on a weekly basis, tailoring their experiences to their individual interests.
At Oak Crest in New Brunswick, the Junior program encompasses a diverse array of activities such as Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild. Juniors also relish Late Nights, extending camp hours to include a special dinner, additional swim time, games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire with S’mores.

They also have access to an extensive range of advanced Choice offerings. During the Choice period, campers in New Brunswick can opt for an activity to engage in for the week. They have the flexibility to select a new activity each week from a rotating list of options, which includes a diverse range of athletic and creative pursuits. Seniors, in particular, have the additional opportunity to take on roles in our annual Drama Production or participate in a special Dance routine, collectively known as Showcrest.
