Oak Crest offers two program options for 3 to 5-year-olds in our Munchkin Division: a 5 full-day and a 3 full-day program. These programs maintain a low camper-to-staff ratio, typically with 10 to 12 campers per group and 3 to 4 staff members, ensuring personalized attention and a strong focus on safety and nurturing care.
One of the primary emphases of the Munchkin Program is on swimming. The program places significant importance on helping children become comfortable and proficient in the water. Additionally, it enhances both gross and fine motor skills through a variety of athletic and creative activities, all guided by specially trained Munchkin Specialists who tailor the experience to be age-appropriate and enriching.
In the Explorers program, similar to the Munchkin program, children participate in athletic and creative activities, work on improving their swimming skills, and foster their social and emotional intelligence. First graders get introduced to challenging activities such as the Climbing Tower, Zipline, Giant Swing, and GAGA. Second-grade campers have the opportunity to choose activities during CHOICE periods on a weekly basis, allowing for a more personalized camp experience.
At Oak Crest near North Plainfield, Junior campers participate in a diverse array of activities such as Archery, Mountain Biking, Lacrosse, High Ropes, BMX, Skatepark, and Camper vs. Wild. Their program encompasses both athletic and creative pursuits, Instructional Swim sessions, and access to the Climbing Tower. Juniors also have the opportunity to partake in Late Nights, which extend their camp access. These special evenings include a special dinner, extra swim time, games, a unique event, and a twilight campfire featuring S’mores.
Senior campers at Oak Crest near North Plainfield have the opportunity to partake in a comprehensive program that includes all camp activities, engaging day trips, and an extensive selection of advanced Choice offerings. Additionally, they can enjoy Senior Late Nights, which extend the camp hours and include a special dinner, extra swim time, games, a distinctive event, and a twilight campfire with S’mores.
During the Choice period, campers have the opportunity to choose and engage in a specific activity for that week. Our campers can make a new Choice selection each week from a dynamic list of activities. Beyond the range of athletic and creative options, Senior campers also have the option to take part in our annual Drama Production or participate in a special Dance routine. Our annual Dance and Drama Production, known as Showcrest, consistently features standout performances from our Senior participants, making them the highlight of the show.

Participants in this program concentrate on problem-solving, role modeling, and teamwork, with an emphasis on fostering responsibility.
